Food always fresh. Variety of food options. Customer service is amazing. Kids eat free on Monday's. Family friendly environment. Pricing is reasonable.
Normally I would give them 5 stars but today I’m so disappointed that 1 will have to do. The food was terrible! There was a hair in the BBQ chicken. The salad bar has a table top fan blowing on it and there were bugs flying around the food and landing on some of it. The cheese at the salad bar was mushy. The only item on the bar that was warm was the chicken and they had just brought out a pan from the back. It was so terrible that I stopped my family from eating in case we were to get sick and we left. This used to be a favorite of ours and has somehow gone downhill over the last few weeks.
lovely dine in, but the price is too high at about $12 per person. most of the food is good, but not a lot to choose from, mostly chicken or seafood. for being a country place, it doesn't even have country steak. most of the food on the buffet, people don't eat. the staff & the building is nice. super friendly & clean. good place to stop & check it out, but not an all time thing.
I was very disappointed in service today. I had a gift card for free lunch and a beverage so I went today and asked if I could get it to go I was alone. Wow seemed like a BIG question to them they had to take a few minutes to go ask the manager then they said they would weigh it and if I went over a certain weight I would have to pay the difference Hey if I would have eaten there I would have had to pay a certain price$10-11 and eat ALL I wanted Really how much food did you think I could fit in a Styrofoam small lunch plate? I was so nervous how much to get. For my (FREE BUFFET) I wanted to let them know I only got $7.00 worth of food. You saved about 4.00. I wanted to get mine to go because I did not want to eat alone. Very hurtfull the way I was treated over a order to go. Should have sat alone and ate 3 plateI was looking at other comments and the managers only comment on great reviews. You would think they would care about our concerns and want to make things better
Definitely home style cooking. If you like comfort food you will love this place. Rustic appeal and friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed the food and the prices are even better.
Corn was cooked perfectly. The tea was awesome and the banana pudding tasted from scratch. The hush puppies were yummy. Fried fish was crispy and tasty. The collards were cooked perfectly but had sugar added which I don't care for. But the texture was excellent. I don't like overcooked collards. Fast service and friendly staff.
Great Southern Cooking! Robert the Manager keeps the food fantastic and fresh and the friendly staff quick on their toes. The food is high quality, cooked to perfection and seasoned whether fried, barbecued, roasted or baked. Sure the building is a little rough around edges and decor very authentic country, but so was my Grandma's and the food was just as good!
If you like southern cooking and cant find anything good here, then you just aren't hungry. They have a little of everything. The price is very good considering the selection they put out. From varieties of fried fish, shrimp and other seafood, to outstanding chicken cooked several ways, and all the veggies you could want. And the choice of desserts is amazing! The four stars is only because the interior could stand a good renovation.
One of my granddaughter's favorite restaurants and she's 5. She has put down McDonald's for Grandson's. We eat there every Friday. They serve fried oysters on Fridays cooked just right. The variety of food is great and good country cooking. Its a a place that you have to visit now they have to one on Ramsey Street. Unfortunately there tend to be lines but they do move fast. It just depends on what time you get there sometimes you can walk right in and sometimes you're in line. They do recognize a military ID even on the takeout love it.
