I have been here twice and each time the food has been amazing. I don't think you can find a better place in Davidson. Shrimp Po Boy, Taphouse Burger, and their Cuban were great. I like the local beers and a good selection. A must stop in Davidson.

Flatiron is a great spot in downtown Davidson. They have a great menu, everything I've tried on there was delicious, they have a great beer and drink selection. They are a little on the pricey side, but all of Davidson is.

My husband and I have been so blessed to have opportunities to travel all over the world. We've eaten many varieties of food in many places. By far, our experience tonight, was one of the best we've ever had! DO NOT DARE MISS THIS PLACE! Our server, Mark was amazing, the food was beautifully prepared and tasted absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!

While I expected pub food surprisingly Flatiron was some of the best fine dining I've experienced in Davidson. The prices are higher, but this is not the place to get a burger anyway. Order a steak or a one of the specials and enjoy a great meal. I had an amazing venison entree with a sweet potato mash and it was a perfect medium rare. This is not the every week meal for most but the service is great and the food is even better!

This place is probably OK but the bartender ruined it for us. She gave us poor service (little eye contact, wasn't attentive or listening to what we were asking) and then charged us $10.50 for a flight of four 3-oz samples, normally $6.50 ($4 extra). After waiting 10 minutes to get her attention to inquire about the price, she said, "it's a dollar more for each IPA". Seriously? But nice try - only 3 were IPAs, and either way she should have explained that minor detail to us when we ordered. The number of times we will return there is the same as our tip - zero. Boom.
BTW, if you want good beer and friendly service at a fair price, go a few blocks further to DBC. Smaller but awesome selection.

Do not believe that it was anything special. The hamburger, priced at 17.00, should have been one of the best I ever had. Instead it was just average at best. It wasn't bad but for the price I expected to be floored by the taste. It was nice to experience once. Overpriced food justified by fancy descriptions.

A few weeks ago we are at Flat Iron and had our usual flatiron burger and a couple appetizers. Our burger which was normally excellent was rather disappointing. We had voiced our opinion to Jason the restaurant owner and he insisted we come back and enjoy the flatiron burger that would meet our expectations. Thank you Jason for your hospitality and dinning this evening. The burger is how we always remembered it, very good. We also had the mussels which were fantastic and first time we had, and saw wings on the menu. They were also very good. A must have experience!

We were looking for an early dinner (around 4:30) and found the Flatiron Kitchen open. We were SO pleasantly surprised with the quality and service as we had not heard of this restaurant before. My husband had the duck and I had sliders and pretzels. I am a pretzel lover and these pretzels made me cry because of their perfection. They were just the right mix of soft and crisp with a buttery exterior and just enough salt. The sliders were thick with a good balance between bun and meat. Our meals were exceedingly satisfying. I'll look for reasons to go through Davidson in the future to eat here again!

Flatiron is the guy that moves in down the block, and seems like he has it made. He's got the cool toys, an edgy but modern home, and is upfront about his refined tastes. But then you get to know him and he spends all his money on his image without much substance to show for it.
Nice place with well executed if unimaginative menu. Frankly overpriced for a step above a normal bar and grill, with merely acceptable service/attention. You can count on a good meal, but you have to ask for what you need and you won't be telling your friends about anything but the large bill.
