Longman and Eagle is my fancy night out of choice. The food is always excellent and the service is good for Logan Square. One of the best versions of the farm-to-table thing going.

Amazing whiskey menu! We came for brunch and had a great time. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, servers are so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Dates and Confused brunch cocktail, chocolate iced coffee, chicken and waffles, yogurt (WOW—yogurt soda is a mysteriously delicious thing), and toasted muffin with foie butter (also WOW).

This is a must-visit spot for brunch in Chicago!

Stopped in for brunch Sat morning. We were seated immediately, but by the time we were leaving (10 am) there were a few people waiting to be seated because it is fairly small.

The service was attentive & cheerful. The Bloody Mary was above average (and came with a small Old Style chaser). But the Eggs Benedict with "house" potatoes that I had was outstanding! The other menu items were intriguing, and I can't wait to go back although I would be tempted to order the same thing again.

I want to preface this by saying I came here for a friends birthday and there were 8 of us. 3 of us ordered a burger, 2 gnocchi, 2 duck and one steak. Across the board the food was identical in flavor between all of us. I say this because we were really disappointed by the dishes and for consistency we tried each other’s in case there was some fluke situation.

    SERVICE
Took over 30-40 min to be seated at 5:30 on a Saturday night with practically an empty restaurant. The waitress was super nice.

    FOOD
I cannot believe how terrible this was.
    - The bone marrow was decent at best.
    - The meat tartar that they recommended again was mediocre at best.
    - The duck on the skin was still rubbery and not seared at all meanwhile the crispy skin on the side tasted like it was sitting out. It was also lukewarm and had no flavor. I took it home to salvage it.
    - The gnocchi was NOT seasoned at all! Everyone at the table tried it and was confused!
    - The burger was way over salted - same with the sad obnoxious amount of fries. They also ignored the fact that one person wanted more done and came in medium rare.
    - The meatballs were nothing fantastic and the mashed potatoes felt too watery and less rich.
This is not just my opinion but the consensus of the table.

    AMBIANCE
Super cool and hipster inside with a great outdoor seating area. Pretty loud spot but still bearable.

I would never come back here! Maybe this is just bar food but least do it right! With 1-2 dishes each person paid roughly 45.

I can't recall how I first heard about this restaurant but I'm glad I tried it. Shrimp and grits we're excellent and unlike any other take on shrimp and grits I had ever tried. Beef fat fries are far superior to normal fries. And Unicorn's Blood espresso was the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Reasonably priced meal and great drinks. If you are into shared plates and whiskey drinks this is the place for you. The steak I had was perfectly cooked and our meatball appetizers were fantastic. We also had the pretzel bread which had an amazing mustard and we began our meal with a amuse bouche. Service was a tad bit crazy, but the food was well worth it.

I come here every time I come to Chicago. I have never had a bad meal here. Honestly, it's in my top 3 favorite restaurants ever. Amazing whiskey list, amazing food, really good service. 👌🏼

Not sure about my server's name, she didn't give it and I didn't ask, but I think it was Sue or Susie. Anyway the location is nice and the waiting time given to me was from 15 to 30 minutes but it didn't take long before we got seated. Got our water right away and our menus. Tried the slow roasted cauliflower which had plenty of flavors and was awesome to my taste buds, the market omelette was good but will not try again , their coffee was excellent. The service was great.

Went for the first time for dinner with 2 other people, and had an awesome experience. Elizabeth, our server, was patient with us and had a few really good recommendations. The food was all fantastic, and the drinks were also very good. The drinks menu is so extensive, to the point where I was nearly overwhelmed. But again, Elizabeth recommended 2 ciders that I really enjoyed. Will definitely be back!

It was around 10 a.m when the man next to me ordered four Roses off the top shelf and I was like, "yep, this is it, I'm home."

I stayed at Longman and Eagle while I was in Chicago for the first time and I could not have found a better place to enjoy the local side of Chicago. Staff were friendly, food was amazing, rooms were charming and the patrons were my kind of people.

Tool a while to get a table (about 2 hours) but there was an extended bar/pub where we were able to get drinks and appetizers while we waited.

Had the Beef Tartare. It was very good.

Great selection of cocktails, too. My favorite was the Peat 'n' Heat.

I absolutely loved this place! I look my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was quite an experience. The menu is designed to be shared so we ordered 4 items off the menu. Each item was something that I had never tried before in my life. The bone marrow was definitely my favorite and I would love to go back for that again. They also have a huge selection of whiskey and whiskey cocktails.

The only down-fall was that they do not take reservations and it's first come first serve. Luckily, we ended up getting a table as soon as we walked in. The tables for 2 were very close to the other tables there was about an inch between us and the couple sitting next to us. So, that was a bit uncomfortable. We asked to be seated at the table for 4 instead and they said they couldn't do that because of limited seating. Despite that, we had a great time and I would recommend it to everyone who is in the neighborhood and is feeling adventurous.

A must try in Logan Square. If you can stand the extreme hipster vibe you will be treated to a great meal with great service in a comfortable and cool space. They don't take reservations or seat incomplete parties so better get there on off times if you don't want to wait. I have been there 3 times and have yet to try something that I didn't love. As mentioned, the service is great, and by that I mean extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu. They are probably the most well educated staff I have ever seen in a casual setting. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
