Came here with my German husband and we both loved it. Service was fast and friendly and food was delicious and served quickly. We came for lunch on a week day and there was live German umpa music. He gave it an 80% for authenticity. mostly cause they Americanized his schnitzel with bacon. I was very pleased they had a veggie burger and veggie schnitzel and food was delicious. So sad they don't have a HofbrÀuhaus in Detroit.

Had a very good Schnetzel Wiener Art, was absolutely huge coovered the plate. Was delicious just like I remember eating in Germany. Beer was great and kept coming. Entertainment was great the singers were very authentic and got you into the atmosphere of the Hofbrauhaus experience.

This place was a mixed bag regarding service. The food and drinks were spot on, so I'd definitely recommend that.
We had a big group (16) , larger than our reservation so we were split into two groups. Our service was slow and she was forgetful, not even asking two people in our group for drink orders. One of my beers took 15+ minutes to get out to me. Food and check took forever as well.
On the other hand, the other half of our group had fantastic service. Ordered after us, and were done eating by time we got our food. Got their checks probably 20+ minutes before us. So, the service definitely seems to have potential, but isn't consistent. Might be better for less people.
We had a German friend in our group who wasn't impressed with all the flagship American songs being played. The American national anthem in a German themed restaurant wasn't really fitting, 'specially since people had to stand up in the middle of eating.response / report this review -

I was referred by one of my close friends to come here due to a great experience that they had last year when they were in the area. Needless to say, we had a party of 12 and we were seated rather quickly which was nice. However that is where our experience starts to fall apart. We had to wait an hour and a half to just receive our water and it was next to impossible to order anything else. Since we could not receive anything in 2 1/2 hours, we ended up leaving. I understand that there is the possibility that this could have been an off night, but regardless, we should at least have been able to drink beer with this place being a brewery. Not very pleased with the service received here and will be hard pressed to come back again, my friends included.

Quickly seated without a reservation even though the place was quite crowded.
My colleague and I started with the soft pretzel with multiple sauces/dippers. I shockingly loved the sweet onion sauce. It was so tasty! I ate most of the pretzel myself.
I of course had to have a liter Oktoberfest beer. Delish.
My main meal was one of the specials of the day. I forget what the meat was, beef tenderloin maybe? Either way, I wanted a second piece it tasted so good. The masked potatoes were very flavorful and creamy.
Our waitress was great. Friendly and very attentive.
There was a live band the whole time we were there. They were so entertaining and sounded great.
Will absolutely return here the next time Iâm in town.response / report this review -

Food is delicious - enough for 2 people! Live band played most of the evening and the crowd was singing along. Lots of fun. They sang the National Anthem for the ballgame and the crowd sang along with that too! ð

Love this place! Always come here when in Rosemont. Authentic German food, great atmosphere, and of course great German beer. Make sure to have the pretzels!

As a German I have to say this place is beyond awesome. The food was authentic and really tasty. The beer reminded me of back home as nothing else can. Super friendly service and a very nice decoration.

Very clean place and extremely clean bathrooms. I wish my coworkers would help keep up the cleanliness this place has at my job. Our waitress was Kinza I think how you spell it. She was very attentive and friendly. This was my first time here and not my last. Also the Rueben sandwich was hands down the best I have ever had. I am also a very hard please when it comes to dining out. Little things annoy me about service and cleanliness as I used to work at a restaurant for 10 years and I don't have 1 complaint about this place. Thanks again for a great time

Came here just to get some SpÀtzle but this place blew me away. One of the best German restaurants I've been to in the States. They had a German live band and it was fantastic. Huge portions at great value in typical German style. Highly recommend if you're staying in Rosemont!

Very lively atmosphere with the live music that fills the hall. Beer is excellent as usual. Got the giant pretzel that is served warm with a soft interior and crunchy exterior that melts in your mouth with the three different dipping sauces. Will definitely be coming back here.

Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere. Authentic and delicious German food, I adore this locale. Today was my second time dining here, and it certainly won't be my last. Definitely one of the best dining experiences to be had in the whole Chicagoland area, especially on Saturdays, when there are tons of people. The restaurant's liveliness is its main pro. There are really no cons. The service is fantastic. Would rate it a 6/5. Keep it up!
