Im disgusted by lolly pop farm and there lies and being mis leaded into thinking that this is the best placebecause its NOT

My mother and I brought our loved cat Tippy and her 6 kittens to lolly pop because of the good reviews we've heard, and thought this was a shelter where they do not kill the animals. Which was NOT the case, we couldn't keep 6 kittens so we decided that it would be best to bring them here to get a nice home. We brought tippy the mother of the kittens for the ride and comfort for the kittens that were only 4 weeks old. NOT planning on giving her away.When getting there we were told that it would be best to keep the mother with the kittens because there to young to be away from her and that we should Surrender tippy with the kittens. I didn't want to but they assured us that we can come back in about 4 weeks to get the mother back, we knew that she could get adopted but we took that chance. We were told that they would spay her and wait until the kittens were old enough and at least 2 pounds until they put them up for adoption, also we were told because I asked they do not kill them !! Only if they have a disease. We come back about 5 weeks later and were told that tippy and all 6 kittens were killedbecause of time and space !!??? I was torn my mother was torn..it makes me so upset! That we were lied to, they killed our family cat that we now have to lie to my 5 year old niece that tippy has a better home.I mean the least they could do is reach out to the people who surrendered the animals let them know that there is no space, because no innocent animal deserves to be killed cause there's no space. I'm truly heart broken and disgusted that this company has a reputation to our community being known for a good place and it is not !!! There is nothing humane about killing innocent animals because of space !!! I will keep telling my story too!

We went to visit Lollypop just to browse. We found a lab that we liked but found out she was not suitable for our 2 year old. We were upset but the lady at the desk said there was a lab puppy yet to be put out and we could see him. We did and fell in love. We didn't think we'd be able to take him home that day but we did!

It was a smooth and easy process and we got him half off! He's a great addition to our family and we couldn't be happier with Lollypop!

I wish I could give you guys a negative rating. You guys turned us away when a stray was hit by a car and was suffering! There is NOTHING Humane about that. NOTHING. I am so livid with this place right now. And you call yourselves a Humane Society?! Oh and don’t worry, I found a place who will do a good stand euthanasia for the poor cat and put it out of its misery. Shame on you guys.

We adopted our cat here yesterday and had the best experience with the entire process. We stopped by Lollypop Farm just to look at the cats that were available. Mary, a volunteer, was very helpful and did not pressure us into anything; she was honest and thorough in providing us with information about each cat. We looked at a few cats but fell in love with one that is perfect for us and we left feeling like we had made the right decision. I highly recommend this facility!

I tried reviewing on their Facebook page, but got harassed for it, so I'll post here. I'm voicing my experience in hopes that this review might help someone else. I used to volunteer at lollypop. I adopted 4 rabbits and a dog from them. Shortly after starting there I realized it was a high kill shelter and one that really only cared about the money. Amber (a rabbit), was my third adoption. As a small animal volunteer, I sat with Amber every week and noticed she had nasal discharge as well as runny eyes and raspy breathing. I knew she couldn't go to anyone but me because no one else would recognize these red flags and give her the attention she needed. Before adopting her I had the vet check over her twice and obviously they found nothing wrong because they didn't want to put the time or money into her. Had you people done your job, you would've seen that runny eyes and nasal discharge are common for dental problems or possibly snuffles or another respiratory issue. Either your vets don't know what they're doing or you flat out neglected to put the effort into figuring out what was actually wrong. You had her on different medications while she was there for close to a month and saw no improvement. Surprise surprise I took her home and she grew an abscess due to your lack of attention. It was in fact a tooth issue and respiratory issue. I had my vet to a surgery to remove the abscess and trim her teeth. She went into cardiac arrest during surgery. Thank you lollypop for neglecting the health of one of the sweetest rabbits I've ever met.

I adopted a puppy from Lollipop, a shepard/lab mix, in 1994 that gave me, my son and most people who met him the greatest 16 years of love imaginable. I've also gotten 3 cats that gave us lovin for 20 plus years. What a fantastic shelter

I love the work that they do. They really try hard to place animals. Adopted from there before. Great experience. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is something I have against a lot of animal shelters, not being 100% no kill.

I really enjoyed my visit to Lollypop Farms. The animals appeared to be well taken care of, and the workers look out for their health (you can't just pet most of the animals, a way to prevent the spread of any illness). I personally found this to be a bummer as I love petting animals, but I understood why. You can pet the goats though, which is a great experience for all ages. The goats themselves are quite friendly, and love to be pet! Walking around the outdoor trail and seeing the larger animals (horses, pigs, ducks, large birds, etc.) was very nice

I wanted to address just a few major misconceptions that people posting negative reviews about Lollypop seem to have.

In regards to the fact that they are a kill shelter: First and foremost, the decision to terminate any animal's life is not a decision that they take lightly. Many people choose to drop off animals with diseases and health issues too severe to handle in hopes of giving the animal one last chance. Other animals, especially dogs, are brought in with major human aggression issues. Lollypop cannot release these animals to be adopted - It wouldn't be right to the customers that they serve. Yes, Lollypop is a kill shelter. No, savable, adoptable animals are not being killed without considerations.

Next, yes, Lollypop will make you jump through hoops. They expect you to live in a stable home, be at least 21 years old, and be a good fit for any animal that you adopt. This mans that they will not adopt out shy dogs to people with loud kids, active dogs to people with inactive lifestyles, or dog-aggressive dogs to people that already have dogs. Yes, there are a lot of requirements. These requirements are in please to ensure that the animals are going to forever homes, and not simply ending back at the shelter when a family is unable to care for them.

With all of that said, Lollypop farm is a great place to get an animal. All dogs and cats are evaluating for behavior, health, and other issues before they are adopted out. The facilities are nice, the adoption counselors will work with you to find the right pet for you, and the behavior team works hard to help you train/bond with your new dog.
