Wow the state park is great and so is the fishing! My son takes me there quite often. The park is clean an its a great place to bring your family. They have a place there for the kids to go swimming. Or you can take your kayak or canoe there as well. The park rangers there are courteous an will answer your questions in a friendly manner.

Beautiful lake, beautiful park complete with eagle nesting grounds and trails that take you through the woods and onto the valley floor, where you can really see and appreciate being surrounded by the mountains.

Loved the campground, was here late November so I pretty much had the place to myself for 2 days. Park staff was awesome, had a great conversation with one of the rangers who gave me a lot of local history and directed me to an awesome hike up Love Run Trail and back down Panther Run Trail.

Beautiful little lake and beach front. Picnic pavilion and nice bathrooms. We got snacks at the restaurant near Happy Acres down the road a few miles.

The campground was nice. Online pics were rather deceptive though. Bathroom was clean an maintained. Much to do at this park. Lots of hiking and local bike trail. Beach, boating and fishing. Nice gun range.

I love the nature feel. It was a wonderful experience. Our family spent the weekend camping, fishing, riding bikes, cooking on a campfire. If you are looking for a great getaway with no cell service this is the place. Can not wait to go back.

My father and I have been camping here for the opening day of trout since 1993. It is a special place. Clean, calm, and secludedeven on the opening day of trout which obviously draws a crowd. As other posts mention it is beautiful, I would just add when the sun goes down on a clear night the stars are amazing. I plan on continuing this tradition with my son as soon as he is old enough to tag along.
