I am a resident of this facility and I have had several negative experiences and I will share a few. 2 wks. after my admission I was in my room and had to urinate. I was in 1 of the old crank beds, so I was pretty much stuck in the bed. They use a light system to summon staff so it can be awhile to get help. I can get in/out of bed by myself if I had an electric bed. Anyway, I am stuck in the bed and soaked in urine FOR OVER AN HOUR. I has to call and wake up my sister so that she could call the facility to get some help. There've been ongoing problems with the laundry dept., kitchen, "CNAS/nurses, Adm and I am going crazy. I NEVER BELIEVED the "rumors" about the abuse and the negligence that goes on in these facilities until I got sent to one. I was sent to one before this and it was no better.
ALL of the nursing homes in N.C. have a policy stating that they are NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY lost/missing clothing. EVEN IF THE RESIDENT DOES EVERYTHING THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. I had some of the receipts for the missing items, and gave descriptions of the items. When the sum reached $80 I had had enough. I complained to state agencies and the corporate office EACH time i had a number of items that didn't get back. After COVID eased enough for the state and the corporate office able to send inspectors my complaints were finally listened to. Many of the residents are elderly and CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. It is SO WRONG that PEOPLE that these places are SUPPOSED TO BE CARING FOR are instead abusing US. As a resident with FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE, AVOID THIS FACILITY.

This place is definitely the worst episode of the Twilight Zone. If you go to goodwill and buy a scrub shirt with any color tights you're dressed and ready to come to work here,NO SOCKS REQUIRED with your dirty Crocs.

Horrible my moms been there less than a week she's immobile and can't talk. They said she fell out of the bed bull&@$t she doesn't move. Now she has a black eye, bruises on her neck and face..got to get her out of this place before they kill her

The place is dated and has the utmost potential to be great with better software, equipment, and management (like any other place). I've seen people get better here. I've seen people that could get better elsewhere. A handful of staff keeps the place afloat. The rest..meh.. Change would do this place justice. Get rid of the bad apples that spoil the whole basket before your good apples find a better basket to get comfortable in.

My dad recovered from a stroke at Lenoir Healthcare. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, from the business manager to the social workers to the nurses. My dad had a great experience - he even loved the food. Lenoir Health's team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists were vital to his quick recovery. I would recommend Lenoir Healthcare to anyone recovering from a serious illness.
