Food was perfectly and artistically prepared. Tough finding parking. Bit too crowded.
Excellent seafood and service .I only wish I knew to call to make a reservation beforehand .We were told we could only sit in selective area since we hadn't made a reservation. The tables we could sit at were all taken because of the lunch time hour .
The only available seating were 2 barstools- at the counter in front of prep cook area.
If you didn't mind hearing and seeing the chopping, frying , sizzling happening before your eyes it was ok. However this didn't ruin my experience. I enjoyed every delicious bite! Our waitress and her attentive service was spot on! I will be back!!!
Well known seafood chain on the east coast. Not cheap, but the one we ate at on the harbor in Boston sits on expensive property. Very good, consistent food and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful harbor view is you don’ mind waiting for a table.
Kara and all wait staff were fantastic!. Kara took her time throughout our entire dining experience, explaining the menu and listening to our questions/requests even though we were her last table. It was also a pleasure to see how much management cared about our experience! Thank you, will definately recommend!
We went last evening to celebrate an upcoming wedding. We were a group of 11.
Ordered champagne, bottles of wine.
Unfortunately the meal was not very good. Food was at best warm , the crab roll had shells in it! One of us isn't a seafood lover so waiter told her that she can get chicken instead- perfect well not so quick. She ordered shrimp scampi just with chicken instead. When the meal came out - no chicken! Really?? Overall not a good night at this restaurant would not hurry back.
This place has a great view. Steak that we ordered was so good! - it was melting in the mouse. Delicious local oysters! Good service. A little bit high prices.
Just visited Legal Harborside for the second time. Once again it was excellent!!! My son will be attending Northeastern Law School for the next 3 years and I will visit this restaurant every time I am in Boston if possible. Our waiter Tim was efficient, polite and professional. The clam dip is a must and the lobster roll is the best I have had. I Also love that I can get my favorite wine, Cakebread Chardonnay by the glass. I have gone after dark both times but I would love to go during the day and experience the outside patio because it has a great view. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Boston area
Great service! Beautiful place with friendly staff! Went here to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends, the food was delicious and the roof top bar was even more amazing. The staff here made us feel special and I would definitely return!
Legal Harborside is a mixed bag. Very busy. Very, very busy. 3rd floor roof deck has great views, strong drinks, and (as one would expect from Legal) a good rawbar and New England seafood. The crowd here is unusually eclectic, consisting of individuals ranging from former fraternity members to older couples enjoying the view. A lot of jostling and awkward looming over soon-to-be-vacated tables for first-come first-serve seating. The food is good, drinks are equally good, but it's pricey as you're paying for the view.
There is quite a wait to get in here, so if you can wrangle a reservation, you should take it. I tried to get the special of the evening but it sold out as I was ordering it. Keep that in mind. I ended up with the Shrimp scampi linguine and ate every morsel! No regrets! The view was beautiful. The service was good.
Food was good, I had a Portuguese soup dish that was pretty tasty. Legal has good seafood but it doesn't stand out as being exceptional. You know you'll get decent seafood for a somewhat reasonable price compared to an upscale place. They have tons of seating so it shouldn't be an issue to get a table. They open up the ocean facing side for nice weather. Nothing like eating seafood with a fresh breeze and ocean view. I recommend a light jacket if you want to sit outside and if you get cold easilyeven in nice weather the sea breeze can be a bit cool. They also offer some of the local harpoon beer here
We had the octopus as the starter and the 20 oz special swordfish chop as entree. It was perfectly prepared, which is actually not a simple feat, as these dishes mostly end up as rubber and leather pieces. But not here. Compliments to the chef! On top service was very friendly and competent. We will be back.
This place has a very nice location, you can get seating right by the water. Im not 100% sure if the fish actually comes from the market next door but the quality of the seafood makes you feel like they are fishing up your food in the back.
The menu ranges from fresh seafood classics to sushi. The drink menu is also classics with a twist. The crab cakes are out of this world. My table ordered the fish tacos, tuna burger and fish in a bag with the crab cakes as an app and cocktails all around. All of the food was amazing very fresh and well prepared. Service was great too.
My only complaint is the price of the food. The average meal for two people can be 40-50 very easily without drinks or apps. I guess the idea is quality costs but if you've been around you know that doesn't always have to be the case. However its still very very worth it here.
