Saw great reviews for this place, and being from Oregon, we had to stop by. I will have to say that this place was better than we thought. Highly recommend. Thank you Lefty's

Amazing customer service. Had a small mix up with my pizza. Management quickly jumped in offered multiple ways to fix it and even offered to deliver it! Pizza is amazing, customer service is legendary.

Amazing experience!!! I have a large family, young children and we had THE BEST experience. The staff and owner were so attentive, making our family feel at home. The food is excellent! We ordered the deep dish pizza and loaded fries, nothing was left over! You have customers for life!

We ordered a deep dish meaty pie and waited for 35 minutes to be served a thin crust meaty pie. We had to wait an additional 35 minutes for what we ordered originally, but to their credit, the girl at the counter was extremely professional, apologized and owned up to her mistake. The pizza was okay, but the crust for me was too hard. It cut the side of my mouth. It was a little small and crowded, but you could tell it was popular. I don't know if I would come back here next time I'm in San Diego. I was not very impressed. If I had waited 35 minutes for the pizza my reaction to it might have been more positive. But I had to wait over an hour for a pizza that honestly wasn't that great.

Tested aythentic, but could use more ingredients on their pizza's. Deep dish pizza has high crust for a reason. To hold melted cheese and sauce inside. There was no need for high crust at Lefty place. Interior is very warming for anyone who lives in Chicago.

Really LOVE the pizza crust, thick and thin. My favorite is the pesto pizza, which you may have you request ahead of time since the by-the-slice selection changes. Their fries are wonderful, the garlic are VERY garlicky. Be warned, fries are like a meal in themselves! The only drawbacks are parking and not a lot of tables. To-go is popular. I come about once a monthwill keep coming for the terrific food!

The food itself is extremely good. The reason I'm giving a 3 is because the brunette who works the front with all the tattoos is extremely unfriendly.

Tried asking her some questions as we've never been there before about the menu, gave short, non-helpful answers and made me feel like I was a bother to her for even asking. The guy with the long hair and mustache was extremely friendly and helpful. To whoever the owner is, having a friendly counterperson is half the battle of operating a successful restaurant; may want to tell her to act kind to paying customers.

Recommend the Chicago style hotdog highly and the thin and crispy pizza.

The ladies that helped us out were very attentive and friendly. The deep dish pizza was amazing also. Shame I don't live close by. One of the best pizzas I've ever had.

Maybe the best Chicago style pizza I've had outside of Chicago, but the lanky male worker with a pony tail apparently didn't like that I only tipped him a buck for my take out pizza. Didn't say a word when he handed me the receipt or later with the pizza. Other workers have been great in the past. Also chastised the female worker for pouring a customer a beer he already poured for. Awkward.

Excellent deep dish pizza, by the pie or the slice. Beer and wine served in a no frills shop. Friendly customer service too.

One of the few places that serve quality Chicago style pizza and food in SD. I could see this joint on a corner in Cicero or Bridgeport in Chicago. Pizza is great and they deliver. Nuff said.

The best and most unique pizza in San Diego, hands down! It's Chicago deep dish, which I say is unique for SD. There just isn't anything else like it here, that I have found anyway. Everything is fresh and the deep dish is worth the hour wait!! 1 slice is enough to fill you up. The prices are step but it is one of things I splurge on every few months. Their sandwiches are good too.

Great pizza! We ordered thin crust, white sauce and chicken. My son finished 90% of the pie by himself. I normally don't care for pizza but I would come back again and again. 4 stars for the great food and service. The restraint was small which made for a poor dining experience.
