Good food although a bit expensive for the quality.

I have eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed in the quality of the food.

I would consider this restaurant the most upscale restaurant in Ashe County. They have several different burger variations and sandwiches for lunch and regular entrees for dinner. The burgers are quite tasty and properly cooked.

Went there tonight because I am working in town for 3 days. Had to sit at bar. Very busy. Sit at the corner of the bar, finally got to order a beverage. 30 minutes later still waiting to order. Watched the couple next to me eat chicken wings, steak and cheese. Guy went to bathroom twice and drink 2 beers. Finally left enough money for my beverage. Left. You need another bartender to work the bar and take everyone's order.

We were here the day after black Friday, a holiday weekend and it was packed. We sat at the bar and had the best bartender, ever. Eric was absolutely amazing! He was at the back bar so he'd have to run to the front bar every time someone ordered a draft beer and he was on point. Even as packed as the bar was he kept up with everyone. Just a lovely experience and in my opinion he makes that place! I had a burger and it was delicious. My bf had the quiche and Vegetable soup and it was beyond delicious. Glad we stopped in and next time we are in the area we will definitely be back. They also have a great draft selection.

Wonderful beer. Wonderful food. Wonderful service. I live almost 1000 mi. from here, but in the words of General McArthur, "I shall return."

This was our 3rd and last trip to this tourist trap as we have the virtual same experience everytime. We arrived to what looked like a half empty restaurant at 5:45 and were told it would be up to 45 minutes to be seated. There was no room in the bar and it seemed to be real inconvenient for them to make us a drink and when they did, since the dozen bar stools were taken, there was no where to stand or sit while waiting for a table. They mentioned the "live entertainment" but you couldn't sit down there either without being seated by the hostess so we sat in the lobby and drank. Thirty minutes later we were seated at a table that was empty when we arrived. Our party ordered 3 sandwiches and a salad. Forty minutes later we were preparing to just leave and go elsewhere but the waiter said our order was next up as our onion rings were just coming up. The onion rings were cold and the Reuben sandwiches were dry. The salad was $12 and was almost nothing but lettuce. We were charged $6 for a side order of onion rings with the salad and they taste like the ones at Burger King.

This was our 3rd bad experience at this place so no one wants to return. I never mind pay for good food and service but was $60 for 3 sandwiches, an extra order of onions rings and 3 teas. It all taste like fast food.

Ordered special, a pasta dish w/chicken & bacon, fantastic, absolutely delicious! The best pasta dish I've ever eaten. Server was young guy named Reagan, very nice & knowledge. Super place for families. They have several micro-brewery beers on tap. I ordered the Red Brick stout that was on special, very good.

A group of us recently went on a little golf outing in West Jefferson. We had heard that there was a great place to eat there called Boondocks so we decided to give it a try. We were all hungry so we all ordered appetizers and different varieties of their craft beers before we ordered our entrees. Everything was delicious, the beer was so good we had to get a few rounds!!! We ended up eating there 3 times in 4 days and highly recommend anyone going to the area stop by for a great meal and be sure to try some of there desserts too. The staff was so friendly and gave us great service all 3 times we ate there. Just plainly put, Boondocks is awesome!!!

Pleasant surprise in historic downtown West Jefferson. Beautiful day for a Sunday drive turned into a new Discovery for us. Staff was friendly and helpful, lots of choices in food and craft beer samples to pick your favorite. A dog friendly outside eating area or a clean, cool inside choice. Will definitely be going back.

Been twice. Didn't like my food either time. Once the waitress even told me I shouldn't have ordered what I got. But lots of people love so it could just be me.

Riding around and was getting hungry. Looked at the reviews of the restaurants in West Jefferson and decides on Boo docks Brewing mainly because it was pet friendly. Had 2 dogs with us. Good Choice. The wait staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Hubby got the brat with peppers and onions. He didn't complain, said it was about average. I got the blackened chicken. It was good but slightly on the dry side. That being said, would rather have it done then slightly under cooked. 😀. Again the wait staff very friendly and not just our waitress, every one there.

Usually very busy as it's one of the best places to eat in West Jefferson but we'll worth the wait in my opinion. The dishes are varied and well thought out. What they lack in presentation they make up for in taste. The outdoor seating allows dogs and even provides water for k9 companions. A very friendly staff rounds this place out as a must visit location while in town.
