Great food for a tight wallet. The steamed pork buns are huge and also, surprisingly great for breakfast the next day.
Had the oyster chicken with a side of rice. 10 nice size pieces of chicken. Chicken was cooked perfectly! They have another big chicken order, the Thai chicken. That's really tasty as well and coated with crushed water chestnuts instead of water so it gluten free. Only thing is, they don't consistently change the oil they fry the Thai Chicken in so I'd order that during the day vs the night.
It's always hard to find food that I enjoy and can eat at any Southeast-Asian restaurants, me having a peanut allergy. However, the peanut free options were great, and I was very happy with my meal. The staff even went to the trouble of avoiding peanut oil in my food when I mentioned my allergy, and they served an appetizer for the table with the peanuts in their own dish so that we could all enjoy. I will say the place is a little small and a little plain on the inside, but the food is totally worth it, and the people are great.
The food is delicious! Although the staff is very nice, the speed of service is spotty. We went for lunch. If you go for lunch, get there before 11:45. The place fills up right after.
Great selection of food and quick service. The place is BYOB. A liquor store is conveniently located across the street. Usually a bit of a wait around dinner. Good location on Hope Street.
Extremely tasty food.. peppered chicken is delicious!! Friend rice is delicious. And on thursday you get to bring your own alcoholic drink, if you are interested. You wont regret. Their Chai tea amazing!! And has seating and parking available.
Went there tonight and received the absolute worst service. The food is pretty good and you can't argue with the prices, but the staff sucks. If I could give a negative tip I would have. Oh and by the way, their sister restaurant on Public Street is amazing-great service, better food, and same prices. Don't waste your time on Hope Street.
On a Friday night at 7 this restaurant was super busy. Large menu, many choices Chinese Thai, Cambodian. You can bring your own wine in if you like. Prices are reasonable I had a good coconut stir fry dish with shrimp. My friend had a sweet and sour stir fry with scallops. Everything was very good but the scallops were not. We made a complaint about it and yet there was nothing done, no adjustment to the bill. Other than that we have been here before and we will go back although that was poor judgment on their part in my opinion. There is no Ambiance and it was warm, I didn't see any evidence of air conditioning (which is kind of hard to believe,) and if it's true and I would be worried if it was a hot day.
In the one photo where I show two plates that was one dinner, shrimp curry with peanut
The wait can be a little long if you go during peak hours but it has great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices so it makes it worth the wait. Also it's a BYOB that doesn't impose an uncorking fee which is certainly nice.
I've had plenty of authentic Cambodian food. Although I understand most restaurants have catered their food to locals at the same time this can cause the quality of the food to go down. Most people probably can't tell the difference unless they've had authentic ones to compare. The food was okay and so was the price. The place is small and was busy/full when I went. If you looking to dine here I would still give it a shot. They offer Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese dishes.
Huge portion and okay-good quality food. The food is tasty if you like asian style food. They have many good selection of noodles or fried rice. The waitresses are not super helpful or friendly sometimes, but they are trying to help as best as they could. Did I write that the portions are huge? Yes, I did.
