New showers, plenty of water pressure, great ambiance, only complaint is the visitor policy. I have a seasonal site and am living here for the season and if someone stops in just to say hello technically they have to pay!

Rude management. Terrible roads. Could tell some upgrades have been done. If someone wants to have a campground that is pleasant to eye when you drive in, this is not for you. I would put all the long term campers in the back of the campground and fix up the front sites and not have 30 years campers with moss all over them visable right when you pull in. Question why do they need security at the gate all the time? Answer clientele.

This place was awful. Narrow, tight roads with untrimmed trees. We paid for 30 amp service, but sight 105A did not even have a place to plug in. We returned to the office to ask to be moved and the woman working argued with us that there was a box to plug into. All the "30 amp" sites are really 20 amp at The most with regular household outlets. The woman again argued that this is convertible to 30 amp with an adapter, which is simply not true. When we said we would just like to be moved to the 50 amp, she was rude about it and demanded we pay the upcharge, despite our hassle. Poorly managed and poorly maintained. We will never return and you shouldn't either.

Horrible, horrible campground. The electrical hookups are terrible. We had to choose between running the fridge or other appliances. The check in staff is rude and unfriendly, as well as the "gate keepers." The roads are atrocious, very narrow with sharp turns, gravel that is full of potholes and ruts. I thought we were going to get a flat tire. The seasonal kids run around yelling half the night. The seasonal campers all look like they are from the 40's, run down, rusted with rusted out furniture laying all around. Not a place for big rigs. If I could give it less than 1 star I would.

Just spent 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff is hardworking and friendly and available 24/7. Didn't have any trouble with the electric/water/sewer hook-ups. Met some nice campers who helped us get set up. Sites are nice and reasonably maintained. Bathrooms are cleaned 2X per day but probably could use a 3rd time if there are a lot of campers. Tentatively reserved for 2018.

Dirty, unkept, awful. Rude staff in the office. Crazy guy out in the driveway yelling at people. Not my kind of place.

This campground reminded me of the movie "Hills Have Eyes" and "Wrong Turn". It's an abondon looking campground. You first walk in the office that looks like a meat locker in which you are next to be slaughtered. The staff are clearly under the influence of some type of drug and haven't used a toothbrush in years. The photos are deceiving and there is junk everywhere. Nothing has been updated, but if you make a complaint they harass you the whole weekend. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

We camp here at least twice a season. It was very run down but it seems like the owners are finally putting some money into the place. The mini golf course has been painted and looks inviting now plus the beach is very sandy with plenty of chairs and tables. The lake is weed free. They have sort of updated the kids play park but some weed whacking is desperately needed. The electric is being updated (and it's about time). Also, campfire wood is very reasonable! Now here's the reasons for the 3 star rating. They really need to invest in a complete update to the barn/office/store. There is NO light in there and I think it's to hide the dirt! As for the bathrooms all I can say on the plus side is at least they had toilet paper. Other than that, they are dirty and disgusting and I am very thankful I have a camper with one or I probably would have to think twice about coming back. Oh, and the roads need serious work as do the picnic tables. Overall, I think we will come back to see any more improvements they make.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. By far one of the worst campgrounds we have been to. Don't know if the good reviewers are the owners or were paid to say nice things. SEVERLY run down. Hasn't seen an update or a fresh coat of paint since 1977. Power was intermittent, water pressure was non-existent, men's toilets backed up with sewage and the dump station was backing up into the grass. Complained about the water pressure and were told the owners ordered a pump but we were out of luck for the rest of the weekend - Memorial Day weekend I might add. Wouldn't even dream of taking a shower in the filthy shower rooms (that you had to pay for!!!) for fear of what might be living in the mold. Disgrace of a campground. No wonder they were pushing so hard for new campers at the Chicago RV show. Will make sure to tell everyone I know to STAY FAR AWAY!!!
