Really nice services, food it's super, mega yummy. We got the lamb; it was amazing and plenty for two people.

We tried to eat at Layla tonight and the hostess (an older woman) refused to seat us because we had a toddler with us. Of course she didn't say that outright, instead she lied to us and said, "sorry, we’re full tonight," although there were several tables available.
How do I know she lied? There was another couple behind us, also waiting for a table, and they left when they heard the hostess say the restaurant was full. We went back to the car and I checked Yelp (to see what else was available nearby) and happened to see Missy's review about the older hostess not liking children. I flagged the other couple down as they started to drive off and told them that I thought we were refused service because of our toddler. She told me she'd go back inside and see if her and her husband could get a table. A few moments later she came back and sure enough, there was a table available for them.
I wouldn't mind if Layla had a "no children" policy, clearly posted, but for the hostess to lie to us is unacceptable and seems like flagrant discrimination. My wife and I were both upset that any business would be so brazen and turn away paying customers because they have children. This was especially surprising in Utah, a state with a young population and many children. We won't be eating at Layla ever again.response / report this review -

First time at Layla. My girlfriend brought me here. She is an outstanding cook - she recommended us to share moussaka. We also order the on special small lamb sausages with a side of tabouli . Proportions were just right for the two of us to share. 5* for simple but well executed traditional dishes and flavors. Not to mention ending with a v filling slice of key lime pie to offset the palate. Price was average for this cottonwood location of fine dining.

I've been going to Layla's since forever ago and it is still such a great place. The staff are super nice and the food is excellent! I totally recommend this place.

Great place, great food, and almost always good service but there are exceptions. Last night we experienced a server that was just terrible. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was new but she is not new. I'm not sure what issues she may be dealing with, and there might be some, but she's got to be better at this caliber eatery or she will not survive. The many times I've been here the food is very good, however paying $30.00 for a very small portion of halibut that was so bland and dry was a crime and not to the general standards and quality I have grown accustomed to at Layla's. So if you're thinking Halibut you may want to pass.

This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant! Layla has amazing service and I love the outdoor dining option in the summer. We order a lot of the appetizers and I have loved every one. This place doesn't disappoint! We love the sweet family that runs the restaurant too. It is nice to have the owners so involved with the day to day operations.

My family, extended family and myself have been going to this restaurant for 6 years now and it is delicious. I highly recommend the Moroccan Lamb Shank, it is local lamb from Morgan Valley, cooked with their secret spices and sauce which is unbelievable, and done so moist it falls of the bone. Their falafel is also unbelievable for those inclined toward the veggies.

Visited this establishment on a Friday night. We had made reservations earlier in the day since we had a party of 8. Parking was a bit of an issue so we parked on the street about a half block away. The place was fairly busy and pretty happening. It wasn't a place for quiet conversation, which was fine since we had our young kids with us. The noise from our kids blended right in with the rest of the ambient noise. The service was friendly and informative. The waitress was able to advise me on a wine selection. The food was amazing! We shared the Halloum Cheese, the Tabbouleh, and the Falafel appetizers with our friends. My wife and I ordered the Lebanese Moussaka and the Moroccan Lamb Shank as entrees. Oh my! Our boys (6 & 8) split the Chicken Kabob Plate with Layla’s Signature Fries and gobbled it up. I'll definitely be returning.

Delicious food for reasonable prices. I usually get the Lebanese moussaka with eggplant that melts in the mouth. My friend usually gets whatever specials they have and my parents, who I got hooked to the place, swear by the curry. That said, I've never had a bad dish (or cocktail) here and the service is always delightful. Only note is that it can be very busy around dinner time, so plan accordingly.
