I've been coming here for over 2 decades and this classic tradition establishment has be overall consistent with what they intend to deliver. Fun and rich with LA history, Lawrys is formal night out with a warm American dinner and old American look and feel. A delicious time piece.

Our family went to celebrate us visiting from Washington State. My in-laws/ parents were treating us. Was supposed to be a beautiful night but began with an awful fall. The wooden floors were not only over polished or greased down from the prime rib cart that the restaurant parades around. The customers at the table were this fall took place said "this was the second t in in the hour they had been their a fall had taken place in the same spot!" They sent the manager over with an apology. Which was nice to hear. I own a restaurant of my own and if that incident happened the way it did I would not only apologize but discount or bought a round of drinks for my customers anything to make sure they knew we we're sorry and they are important to us. For ur customers are paying a good amount for their food. NOTHING! Not happy with that it felt like they could care less for what happened or what we felt. It was as if they just shrugged it off. If I'm going to spend that kind of money I want to feel important and well taken care of. The manager Peter needs to learn better management and customer service skills.

Lawry’s is possibly one of the most upscale, iconic restaurants in Beverly Hills. From the moment you pull up the driveway (which looks more like five star hotel than a restaurant) and enter through the double doors you know that you are in for something truly spectacular.
The decor is a classic, older style- reminded me of country houses in England, and the wait staff are all dressed in cute matching outfits. The crowd is a lot older here but I’d wager it’s because of the classic feel of the place. It almost screams “old money”.

Lawry’s is a steakhouse so don’t even think about ordering anything else! I ordered the most popular cut on the menu (over $50!!!) and it was absolutely delicious! The creamed corn and other sides it came with were to die for and I’d highly recommend them! There is also an option for baked potatoes which I passed on but they looked amazing. My food was so delicious, the quality is definitely unparalleled even compared to the newer, funkier establishments. Despite being absolutely stuffed I also tried the Creme Brûlée for dessert and it was absolutely perfect!

If you have money to spend and want to go to an upscale restaurant that has a little more style and class than some of the newer places I’d recommend Lawry’s Prime Rib

The food and service is just great, only the space is a minus. Though made prior reservation, the table was not satisfactory as it was a part of the end at the large oval space. I felt the roasted beef was better than the one served in Tokyo. The wine here is better and more reasonable. We could get to the table without being kept waited long. Good service.

It is probably the best Prime Rib we have had in our entire life. The Cream Corn was good. They cut your choice of rib right in front of you. Service is awesome. Watch out for the very hot Horseradish. it's really hot.

I made a reservation at 8:30 pm and we got here at 8:00pm. By 9:00pm we were still waiting. I asked the host AND the hostess about our table, they were rude, unprofessional, and weren't helpful at all. I felt as if I was being treated as a second class citizen. I love the food here. But they got to train the host AND hostess, how to be professional towards their customers. Dan Fennen, our waiter, is one of BEST and friendliest waiter we have seen. We were so lucky to have him as our waiter.
At least Dan made up for the rude host and hostess service.

This place is amazing. Took my dad here for his birthday and it was the best experience ever. Our waitress was Miss Kim. What a sweet lady!! So nice and patient with us. This Place has a nice vibe. Everyone was nice and polite. The food was amazing. Everything I expected.

Loved the atmosphere. My prime rib was perfect. Expected my lobster tail to be dry and small because it just came with the Dine LA menu which was a tad bit cheaper than the regular plate, but to my surprise it was really good. Our server was as usual kind, but what I loved the most about her was her knowledge about the food. Good place good food.

The service was excellent. The dining room and bar were very nice, and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable restaurant. The prime rib servings are enormous. The sides were delicious as well. We had a great time. I would go back.

I was there Friday evening with my family for a 19:30 reservation. The staff at the door was great and although we had to wait about thirty minutes to be seated it was extremely busy so I didn't mind. We were there celebrating my oldest son's graduation from high school and my middle sons graduation from middle school. They enjoyed themselves thoroughly until we were leaving. I paid cash in which was all hundred dollar bills and twenty dollar bill to include a tip. While leaving we were embarrassed by the waitress who stop us abruptly stating we shorted the bill. We knew that this was profiling because she hadn't been away from the table long enough to count it. People were looking as us from the surrounding areas as she insisted that we shorted the bill and could she count it in front of us implying that we were trying to leave without paying out bill. She counted it and discovered not only did we pay in full but included a tip. We were humiliated and left quietly regretting choosing your restaurant for our celebration.

I usually don't eat prime rib because it can be hit or miss, but Lawry's was excellent when it came to the prime rib. I got a surf and turf combo by getting lobster as well, but the lobster tail was on the small side and seemed to be from the Caribbean (I prefer cold water lobster from Canada for the taste and texture). My prime rib dinner also came with Yorkshire pudding, but that was a bit of a disappointment (it was slightly burned and instead of individual portions, a large one was cut up into pieces to share).

Get there early and nosh on the free snacks in the waiting rooms. If you're going to be a regular at Lawry's and it's sister restaurants (including Tam O'Shanter), signing up for the membership program is a good investment to rack up points.

A great window into an older generation's dining experience. I found that the food had been talked up so much it did not meet my expectations - prime rib was gristly but was done right. The setup does not allow for much privacy so be prepared for that.

Definitely the best prime rib in town. Came in with some out of town guests during Super Bowl Sunday, knowing there would be some availability. Excellent food. Excellent service. Lawry's is the whole package.

I've experienced my first Lawry's Dinner this year!
I never came here in the past because of the fact that they are known for their prime rib and .., vegetarian's don't eat meat!
I was elated to find out that my friend was celebrating his marriage here with a good group of 20 and we dine here.. it was amazing!

The complimentary meatballs and chips were so good, i couldn't stop! Their salad was pristine and the vegetarian option was good!
I actually don't remember my vegetarian option right now cause by this point i already filled my body up with their cocktails!

A must-visit Beverly Hills location. If you find yourself in L.A. make the effort to go to Lawry's. The atmosphere, history, service, and food are worth the substantial but not shocking prices. The prime rib should be your go-to entrée; it is succulent and what has made Lawry's famous. The California cut is good for a lighter appetite, the standard cut should please most everyone else. For the very best value go during Restaurant Week and get the prix fixe menu.
