BEWARE!!!! What a joke! I’ve seen multiple 1 star reviews from many sites regarding the service department here, so heres mine! Spent close to 30 grand for a vehicle with every extended warranty possible at this place an regret every second of it. Vehicle has front end noise now and I bring it back TWICE to be looked atno issues found both times. First time I wasn’t charged, second time I was charged $99 to tell me nothing wrong. Was never told I would be charged out of my pocket to look at the vehicle, I was simply asked if it was under warranty which leads me to believe that would cover it! Poor communication from the service reps to me! Never again will I spend a single dollar at this joke show. BEWARE PEOPLE!!!! GO ELSEWHERE !!!!

I bought a 2015 Mazda 3 Certified Pre-Owned and have had nothing but TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from Mazda’s Customer Service and from the dealership/service department I purchased the vehicle from in trying to get simple issues addressed. SHAME ON MAZDA! I love my Mazda but am VERY DISPLEASED with the customer service and DISRESPECT for customers and for their own product. The vehicle itself had 3 bent wheels from the time I bought it. When I left with the car, and when I test drove it, I noticed it had some vibration, which could have been a number of things. I knew the vehicle had been sitting a while and figured maybe it just had a flat spot in the tire and would go away once I drove it for a while and inflated the tires back to proper pressure. After a few days of it continuing and my low tire pressure light coming on, I was becoming alarmed so I made an appointment with my service department and called customer service to give them a heads up. I was told they could not find any vibration and that everything was fine, but they would move the vibrating wheel to the back to see if that would fix it. They reset my tire light and I drove home. The vibration continued so I called them both again to complain and set up an appointment. This time, they balanced all four wheels and admitted to having not done so before. We also found out they hadn’t replaced my windshield wipers like they are supposed to do in mazda’s “160 point CPO inspection” and I also had a blown speaker. I thought it was just a door panel rattling but it turned out it was in fact blown. On top of all that, the vehicle was sold to me with tires being in less than perfect condition, and I should’ve griped about it before hand. The tire that was vibrating the worst turned out to have a tire plug in it (one that was actually intended for ATV use as noted by the service department) which they DID NOT CATCH DURING THE INITIAL INSPECTION. They replaced the tire but only after a long drawn out argument where they were not going to replace it unless I bought one too. Now I have one tire with 100% tread and 3 with less than 50% tread. Some of the wheels were scratched and scuffed up as well, something else that was not supposed to have gotten through the initial CPO inspection. I asked the dealership to take the car for a ride and see how the car still vibrates but the FLAT OUT REFUSED. They said it was fixed. Anyone who knows what vibration in a vehicle feels like would’ve noticed it. So I complained to customer service and they had me make an appointment with a different dealership.
At that appointment, the other dealership confirmed exactly what I had been telling them. I had 3 bent wheels, and 2 blown speakers (I though I had just 1).
Another funny story, in the initial CPO inspection, my brakes scored worse than the score I got in a follow up visit when I was having issues. The dealership had no good explanation for how my brakes seemingly GOT BETTER over 1000 miles. Amazing technology I must say!
To this day, I still have not heard from Mazda what they are going to do to remedy this situation and I have been in constant contact. During this whole ordeal, I have been the one who has had to do all the following up. Mazda will not be the one to call you or follow up with you. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They did, however, replace one blown speaker. But no word on the rest. I filed a complaint with the BBB and am awaiting results.
I am not the only one this has happened to. I have worked and went to school in Parkersburg for many years. Lots of people I’ve worked with know this dealership for their sometimes slimey sales tactics and the joke of a service department. In fact, one pharmacist I worked with told me every time she brought her Honda Accord in for an oil change, she was harassed by someone to buy another car and was even told a story once by a salesman that they had someone outside interested in buying her car and that if she would take their deal, was there anything on the lot she would be interested in?
Would give less than 1 star if I could.

The service dept has done all my service work on my 2016 RDX Acura. But when I need it checked for a clunking in the front drivers side which is serious they will not work on it because of warranty work will not be paid by Honda! This woman would not stop talking to ask her any questions she talked over me trying. She would not work for me with a attitude of her demeanor. I will call Honda and report this problem!

Please check your paperwork before signing! I wanted to buy the car I've been leasing. When I questioned why they had my pay off amount $500 higher than it actually was, I was told they charge everyone that "fee" because they have to "put my car into their inventory" before I can buy it. BS! I can buy my leased vehicle without even going to a dealer. If it was a legitimate fee, it would have been clearly marked on the bill of sale. I asked that they look at WVCCU for financing, they didn't even call them. I was told that Peoples Bank would have the lowest rate, she thought it would be 4.1%. I called to get my own financing at a much lower rate. No wonder I went to Athens to lease 3 years ago! I will be contacting Honda.

I stepped outside of my perfect 25 year history with Toyota and bought a NEW VW Golf TSI to drive to Athens and back for work. I developed a shake that varied between speeds. After 7 Tire balances at multiple Tire shops and blaming their inability to balance a wheel, I brought my Golf to Simmons to have a look. With 29,750 miles of a 30,000 mile warranty, this was my chance to find out what is truly wrong.
After a week and a half of my car setting outside, they wanted me to come show them the vibration (since they aren't sure what a vibration feels like). I took the "Volkswagen Super Tech Specialist" for a drive. He felt the vibration and agreed there is something wrong. Another week went by only to be told "the car is up to Volkswagen Specs for legal speeds".
I drive to Athens and back WITHOUT A WARRANTY with my cruise set on 59MPH as anything more shakes my eyes, my passenger seat shakes, and the steering wheel makes my hands numb.
Their negative feedbacks on their service should hopefully be enough to thwart off another sale to another victim of Larry Simmons Volkswagen. A company that has adopted the same lies and tricks they learned from a manufacturer that tried to get away with their lies!
My $20,000 should have went into a new Toyota! Then I wouldn't even need a service department!

We were very satisfied! Jason was and is always awesome to work with and they were able to do the same repairs for over $1000 cheaper than 2 other local garages that we received quotes from. Thank you again!!

If I could rate this place less than one star I would. TERRIBLE service, my car was at their shop for a ridiculous amount of time (2 weeks and 2 days- and still counting) without the problem of the bad fuel pump being fixed, and I have to take my car home with a dent in the front fender where someone HIT MY CAR on their lot but they "have no security cameras" to prove the dent wasn't pre-existing (it wasn't, since my car has been in their custody for the past two weeks). They are extremely unorganized and they will tell you anything you want to hear without actually fixing the problem. My car was scheduled for a recall problem to be fixed on a Friday which didn't get fixed until the following week, with an appointment. When they finally got the parts in to fix the fuel pump, my dad went to pick my car up, but it still wouldn't start. The mechanic acted extremely confused and told us we had the wrong car, talking about another grey mazda6 on their lot, implying the fuel pump was put into the wrong car. If your car has problems, I'd recommend to not waste your time and money dealing with this unorganized shop and take your car somewhere that will save you the headache and inconvenience of being out a car for an absurd amount of time and having it to come home with more problems.

Jim Bennett and Bruce Miracle will take care of you at Larry Simmons Mazda. Excellent first time car buying experience. Didn't try to haggle me with extras and offered a very competitive price on the new Mazda as well as our trade-in value. I would highly recommend this dealership for anyone shopping around for a new vehicle in the Southeastern Ohio area.
