  This is a fun nook to support local Lansing food. The bar however has terrible service. The tenders had a nasty attitude the two times I went, thus I won't be returning.

  Love this place and the potential it has but, it is dying as of late. Wish the management would make changes to make this place thrive like the good old days. There are barely half the amount of vendors vs three years ago.

  As some have commented previously, the Lansing City Market, once full and active, feels empty. The French market feels disorganized and is nowhere as nice as other French markets like Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor. As for anyone looking for a farmers market, in ally visits on Saturdays I have yet to see any sign of one. One the plus side, there is a nice on-site restaurant and it's location by the river adds to the experience

  Over half of the building is a bar! Once upon a time Lansing had an historic farm market but the city sold it to a real estate developer. They constructed apartments that the average resident can't afford. We were promised a better, modern, and wonderful market. I don't see that ever happening but we now have excellent community farm markets in Lansing so it can all become another bar, we need more bars downtown.

  Seating for the restaurant is outside and right by the Grand River so the view is great. The food and service is great as well. There is a large bar inside and a small amount of merchandise for sale. It is not very much of a market. You can also rent bikes and kayaks inside to go up and down the river.

  The place has a gr e at view and the grill is quite good, with a nice selection of beer and fairly priced food. The service was also friendly. The stores inside change, so if you want to have some consistency make sure to support the owners of that particular business.

  Just got done with the eater egg huntto say the very least I am pissed! Poor planning and they let all the kids trample over each other. My daughter got stampeded, cut and bruised and left crying without a single egg! This wouldn't have happened if they would've taken more than 5 minutes and planned this with some common sense.

  Every Saturday morning my daughter and I would come to city market - have breakfast, buy flowers for Grandma, and than walk from there to Impression 5 on river walk. The slow and than very quick death of the Lansing City Market made visiting it pointless. The place is nearly empty except for one or two vendors and the bar. The building has become a mini-version of Flint's Autoworld - great fan fare in the beginning than slipping from view.

  Hills cheese is one of the greatest cheese selections in the state. A made in Michigan shop, a bar/restaurant and lots of available space.

  Used to be a very interesting place one could get a variety of foods at, as well as be greeted by various friendly shopkeepers. Produce, dairy, chocolate, sandwiches, soups, made-in-Michigan items. Whelp, that was in 2013. Now it's a empty useless shell of it's former self. Void of really anything worthwhile except the one place to get a burger and get drunk at. Unless soaking up the view of a polluted river and the drab sides of large buildings does it for you, I'd recommend anything else.
