I was just there for a banquet today and believe me I will NEVER go backThe food was cold even what they freshly brought out from the kitchen. They had very few staff. There was suppose to be a dessert table, they had one cake 10 inch for 200 people all the rest was still frozen. Oh they did bring out apples and breakfast pastries. The only thing actually hot was the coffee. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!
It's a lot better than it used to be but they still have a lot left to improve. I think the biggest problem is there is no hot water for showers. They do seem to be improving it though and hopefully it'll soon be a nice place to stay.
Out of date rooms, rude staff, very bizarre experience overall. There were room service menus, but if you call for it they tell you they no longer offer room service. He did offer for "some guys to come clean my room" though so that's something I know what you're thinking, are the pillows comically small at least? Yes! It looks like a throw pillow interior put in a bed-sized pillowcase. Save your money, go to Red roof for the same experience at half the cost. Golf course looked nice I guess.
The new owners have big plans to reinvigorate this place but as of this writing it is a very tired hotel long past when it should have been renovated. Location is great, golf course looks pretty good, and the new Expo hall will help once completed. Rooms really need a make over and at the moment amenities like room service are not offered. Hopefully they can bring it back to life.
While the management is trying to update the hotel and has been really trying to correct problems we have gone 2 nights with no hot water. They are working on the boilers now so hoping tomorrow will be better. This will be a nice place once updates are done. But the breakfast buffet was fantastic, plenty of grounds for walking dogs, staff is really nice and trying to help around the construction.
WELL used, older hotel / conference center in the midst of an "upgrade". Pools didn't work. Carpeting was dingy and seemed dirty. Paint was peeling over dining room tables. Our stay was it's second chance for our group. Staff was nice enough. Apparently hotel is under new management. Breakfast was included and adequate - same all three days. Server was upbeat and very attentive. I would rather not stay here in the near future until it's proven that the hotel is in MUCH better shape. I don't know anything about the golf course. Because of it's condition, I would not consider having a wedding reception here. (They do advertise that.)
They really have a lot of work to get this place nice again We may give them a try again next year but right now I would avoid the place like the plague! Dirty rooms.. Old beat upmoldey..or musty hvac units.. Some bathrooms remodeled but rest of room old.. Our bathroom wouldn't drain sinks/shower. Barely had water pressure.. Toilet beat up to say the least New management did not impress.. The food catering people seemed to be trying hard to please everyone but the new management for the hotel could work on his 'customer is always right' Our food was good but still had some work to get breakfast to par..
If I could give them a 0, I would! My first and last time staying here. The only good thing is the location and the fact that they comped my room after all of the bad experiences I had on one day. First they put me in a construction zone. My 1yo daughter walked past the plastic heading into the"danger zone", construction zone. While walking down the hall there was a phone from a bedroom sitting on top of a bed side table that said "use this in emergency or dial 0 for front office". That's just the first part, 3 rooms later and I end up with a room that had spiders in the tub, shower ceiling that's falling down and an unchanged toilet paper roll. :/.
Lancaster Host is convenient to the majority of attractions of Lancaster PA, including outlet shopping and dining. There is also a golf course available to guests. Although the rooms are dated in style, they were in the process of redecorating. The conference facilities are also spacious and well laid out.
I was at this hotel with a large group for an overnight trip. Luckily I had a newly refurbished room however several people in our group did not and the rooms were less than desirable. Our room key kept randomly not working so we couldn't get into the room and had to go to the desk to have this fixed multiple times. The hotel itself definitely needs some upgrades. However, the breakfast buffet and restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful!
This facility is outdated and falling apart. The rooms are very dirty, we had to switch rooms and the new one was not much better. As u can see from the photos we had to go out to purchase our own bed sheets. That's how bad this place is, due to a basketball tournament and the NFL draft being in near by Philadelphia all the other hotels were booked so we were stuck. To their credit they did give us 50% the room rate which we appreciated, the staff was very polite and did their best but the owners really need to invest some money into upgrading this place.
One of the worst Memorial Day weekends I have ever had due to this hotel. My boyfriend and I just finished working a wedding and finally got there around 1230-1am.. to find out a water pipe busted and who knows what else. They had to evacuate the building and couldn't accept anyone. The front desk lady kinda awkwardly giggled and said yea sorry can't take anyone! Of course every hotel in the area was fully booked which led us to drive 3 hrs home. And then had to come straight back to Lancaster to do another wedding the next day. Awful hotel, did not even try to help you, and didn't even give us any emails or notifications that they couldn't take our reservation that we made. If you have an option even a motel, go there. This place should be demolished.
