We LOVE this place and come back every year. It is "campy". Very close (2-3 blocks!) to one of the most beautiful beaches and very close to the downtown area. This is for OUTDOOR people who do not want to stay inside but want to GET OUT and see the sights.

Looking for a place to relax? This is it! Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean, stocked and functional. The fire pit, shaded areas to sit in, the swing set, and gas grills provided an outdoor space to use and enjoy. My family and I walked to the beach every day--it's a short walk. Ludington's beach is a well-kept secret. It's beautiful!! These cottages have a lot of character and charm. If you're used to chocolates on your pillow and a concierge service, you may be underestimating just how terrific it would be for your family and you to stay at Lakeview Cottages. :)

These cottages are perfectly acceptable, but overpriced. They are not really cute, just functional. There is no view of the lake, but within easy walking distance of beach and downtown Ludington. You are in a residential neighborhood, it's a nice area, but not what you might expect/want on vacation. Could be 3 stars if it were more appropriately priced for what it is. However, Ludington is a great area. The State Park has fantastic trails and the beaches are amazing. There are probably better options of places to stay that have water access. I just got the feeling that the owners were keen to minimize the inconvenience that guests imposed, which seems an interesting strategy for a tourist business. For a last minute trip, would be OK, just to have a place to stay in this beautiful area, but shop for better options.

Looooved it. My family of 5 came here on a whim. We have had friendly "family-like" service from the first reservation phone call. Super clean & comfy beds. Complementary washer & dryer was really handy. Safe area for kids & lots of room outside in the yard for them to play. Felt like I was back at my Mamaw's house when I was little. Close to the beach & everything that the town had to offer. Just PERFECT!
