This is one of my favorite restaurants on the island. Now, they are serving brunch on the weekends with a la carte dining or the buffet for $25. And it's delicious.

Yesterday it was our first night in Key West and we were thrilled to try a fancy seafood restaurant, given that we were right at the ocean. This restaurant was unfortunately the worst I have ever had. Not to mention that it was way too expensive for what it represents, the food was bad for every price category. I ordered the pasta with crab (the most expensive on the menu) and I got a soup of cheese with pasta (everything but an “italian” pasta) and it was a challenge to find even one piece of crab I also ordered the lobster, which I was told that it was fresh; though not represented by its taste. My partner and I did not even touch the pasta and were not even really asked why. I found the restaurant very bad!!!!

Usually we have a great experience here. However, the last time we were here we came with a group. There were multiple mistakes with the orders and the food wasn't very good. So bad that one order went mostly uneaten. Not sure if the wait staff and cooks were overwhelmed. We'll give it another chance, I hope this place hasn't fallen off.

*SPECTACULAR FLAVORFUL FOOD*
La Trattoria Oceanside was our first dinner restaurant on our trip to Key West and it exceeded our expectations. We aren't really the "bar type" people so preferably sit down restaurants are the first choice. This place provides great service, outstanding food and amazing views. We were seated by the front glass room where we were able to see jet skiers and a carnival cruise ship heading out into the Atlantic. The crab penne pasta was absolutely delicious, the escargot appetizer was scrumptious especially for only $10.50, and the gnocchi pasta (even though the portion wasn't that big) had immense flavor. Overall, 5/5 definitely coming back.

This experience was absolutely awesome. The food was amazing and our server CJ (Carl Jr.) Was even better. The service was great and personable with genuine conversation. CJ even went out of his way to drop what he was doing and open the door when we left and took our picture for us. 5 STARS

Had dinner here on the first night of our vacation and I wanted to like this place more than I did, especially since it had pretty good reviews and this was the first night of our vacation! Most of the seating in the restaurant is pretty good, since it's slightly tiered, so you can see out the windows even if you are seated in back. However, the seats in the front room (closest to the road/ocean) are definitely a lot better. That's not where we were, unfortunately, probably because we had a large group (7 of us). Service was slow and not very attentive. 2 strikes! :( But the food was pretty good. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
Positives: Good food, take reservations, parking, nice view of the ocean if you have a seat in the front dining room.
Negatives: Service wasn't very good, doesn't have a "Key West" feel.
Overall: I would have given this place 4 stars but just couldn't do it based on the service. And the food was good, but not great.

This restaurant is for the hungry appetite. But the food is awesome. Whether you have the special local caught yellow tail snapper; or crabmeat and pasta in cream sauce; all good. Really sharp staff that knows service and treats you well.

Celebrated our anniversary there last night. The whole evening was top notched. Johnathan was our server. He made all of feel special. The meal was excellent and served in a manor that we did not feel rushed. A step into European cuisine.

Our server made you feel like you were home. Hands down the best Hog Fish meal ever. Unforgettable from first bit to the last. And the Tiramisu would make my Momma slap somebody. All I can say you can't get no better fish,scallops,pasta even the different sauces. Thank you for the awesome unforgettable happy memories. Merry Christmas

Menu options were somewhat limited for my diet (no dairy) but the staff and kitchen did a good job of talking me through my options and accommodating modifications. I had the spaghetti with clams, made with olive oil instead of butter, and it was quite good. Pasta can't compare to what you get in Italy, but the dish tasted fresh overall and I enjoyed the meal. Wine choice was average yet very expensive. Service was excellent!
