Relax in luxury. Dogs are welcome with a $100 per stay. The best relaxing place to stay in the valley. Plenty of places to walk or play with your fury buddy with baggie stations along the way. For yourself take some time at the spa or the great restaurants on site. I come here a few times a year, summer or winter, it's always relaxing. come join. Great views in most locations

My experience here is bitter sweet. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. Overall it is a lovely resort. However the recent remodel of the lobby area is atrocious and shows a complete lack of understanding and appreciation of the historic building. It is gaudy and out of place. It is really too bad that the ownership allowed this to happen. Hopefully they can contain themselves to only ruin the lobby and leave the rest of the resort alone.

Lovely location with a broad range of hotel rooms and villas to stay in. The grounds are immaculate, and a few areas, such as the lobby, have been recently renovated. Staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. There is a good set of restaurant options, and a small shopping area. Prices are reflective of being on a resort. The grounds are children and dog friendly, so be aware. There are larger events around the holidays, such as Thanksgiving, so if you book a holiday stay, I suggest calling to see what is planned.

Great resort. I was expecting a bit more from a Waldorf Astoria but nevertheless it was pleasant. Food was excellent except don't try the shrimp cocktail, it was pretty bad. Thankfully, that is really the only complaint I have.
Pools were private. The main pool, "Pulse" was a bit underwhelming but room service did get us some wine over there. The staff was attentive and friendly at the bar there.
If you are looking for a quiet place to get away I recommend this resort. If a bit more lively is your flavor, try a different location.response / report this review -

Amazing A+++ old world incredible Resort tucked next to the mountain down the Valley from Palm Springs. Think Beverly Hills Hotel in the desert. Old world 1920s charm Blended beautifully with newer modern amenities and structures. The staff is always friendly the accommodations are always beautiful the food and drinks are always perfect. Greatest hidden treasure getaway in the desert.

Huge, friendly, beautiful resort. Quiet and relaxing. All of the pools make it so your closest one isn't busy. Huge fitness center. Beautiful mountain views surrounding the resort. Very easy to spend a lot of money on food, drink, and activities, but you can also easily spend a relaxing weekend with only the room cost. I would stay there again.

The rooms were large, clean, very nice and well maintained. Great attention to detail in design/decor. Room service was good as well. It would have been five stars, but several of the rooms near mine were a rowdy group that partied all night in the pool and the courtyard. Staff didn't seem to mind. I did.

This resort is probably the best resort in all of California. It is completely unique in the US as well. 40+ pools, 50+ spas, excellent grounds, and extremely convenient. Go during the summer for mega low rates, with the caveat of 100°+ weather but with so many pools and a pool by almost every room, it really doesn't matter how hot it gets. Looking for the most relaxing time of your life? Definitely try this place out.

It's hard to explain why this desert oasis has me coming back. Is it the year round sunshine? The calm setting around each cluster's individual pool? Or, is it the fact that La Quinta is the one true Southern California getaway that truly GETS you away.
They call themselves the "gem of the desert" and it's 100% true. There's no location in the region that allows you such escapism. From relaxing morning strolls to the coffee house, to mid-morning workouts in the spacious fitness center, La Quinta is the best resort for people to relax at their own pace.
If DJs and Vegas-style pool parties are your thing, go to Palm Springs. La Quinta is reserved for those who value the scent of fresh flowers in the morning and the soothing chirping of crickets before bed.
While nothing is perfect, La Quinta Resort offers a near-perfect experience for families and loved ones young and old.response / report this review -

Great service by the staff, outstanding food, beautiful scenery, nice spacious villas, tons to do in the area.. Next time I'm in this area I'm definitely adding this to my shortlist of places to stay. Five stars!

Its a nice resort with very helpful staff. The food is tasty and the surrounding mountains gives a very picturesque setting. It gets hot in the summer and cool at night.

Very nice, good place to relax and have some privacy. The grounds are well kept up and lots of space to walk around. The best thing to do is get a room with a patio so you can enjoy the warm nights.

Lots of pools. But only has pool service at The main pool. Lots of kids (urine) in the pool. Rooms were really nice and big but we had some ants in the bathroom the first night. Restaurants are pretty good.

Really great hotel/resort. I am not a golfer, nor do I play tennis, so I was somewhat worried that I would not find much to do while my wife was at a conference held here. My fears were misplaced. The grounds are beautiful. They had a great little gift shop/market that sold beer, wine, sundries, and snacks. The room came with a fridge that included a true-to-god ice maker. They had a nice selection of clothing stores (including men's apparel), abundant on-site restaurant options, a 21+ pool separate from the family pool, and lots of places throughout the beautiful grounds to explore, with "hidden nooks" that had tables and chairs or benches where one could find a quiet spot to relax and read a book or use your device. The Internet was good and free (no awkward log-in required- just hook to the signal). Very close to a lot of off-site activities, whether you're in to shopping or outdoors, I found a lot to do within a reasonable drive. Friendly staff. Good housekeeping service. I think one's experience here may hinge on the type of room you book. Each room is like a separate "cottage." Ours had a screened-in porch. The one next door did not, but appears to have had a fireplace, which we did not. Others seem to be around their own pool/courtyard areas, while even others were like small patio homes with pull-up parking right in front. I am not sure how they distinguish room types, but I would suggest taking time to research and book the room/location that suits you best. Otherwise, everything that came with the resort delivered and exceeded my expectations.
