Never stayed at their hotel but eaten at the restaurant few times. I like to give a restaurant at least two chances (everyone has an off night) but i have to say its only gotten worse with each visit. For the price there are far better options in town. Serving sizes were very small and the food quality just isnt worth the price. Try Miro's or Jake's instead.

Went to Melvin's. Not impressed. Service was awful. People not pleasant. Very expensive, which is ok if everything else is right. The food was very good, but I would nit recommend it

The atmosphere is amazing. We've been coming here every year for our anniversary and more. Form the staff to the food, untouchable, second to none. R.I.P Mel. Miss you and thanks for the good times.

Had lunch at melvyns. We always stop here for lunch when we're in Palm Springs and the food is usually delicious. This particular time our lunch came out inedible after waiting almost an hour and a half for it. The manager comped our bill and apologized. We ended up elsewhere for lunch. I feel this is a rare occurrence for them as we've always had good service and food here.

one of my favorite iconic historic places to stay out in palm springs. located in the heart of PS you can walk to everything. the great thing is that it is off the main strip and you don't have to deal with the heavy traffic.

This is a historic place in Palm Springs, but is quickly losing whatever charm it held in the past. Service was mediocre at best. Our waiter had an attitude and made us feel like we were a realosition. Food was good quality, but bland. Vegetables were steamed without any flavorings. When we made a special request from the kitchen, it was rejected immediately by our server. We understand that not all requests can be honored, but he really should have at least asked the chef. With so many excellent restaurants in Palm Springs, I would be hard pressed to return.
