The toilet in our room overflowed. We were told that it was fixed. When we returned later that night, that turned out not to be the case. They told us that they could not give us another room because they were"full". We were welcome to use the toilet off of the lobby. After arguing with them, suddenly they were able to put us in a suite. Toilets break, that is understandable, but it is disappointing that they lied about availability of a room and that we had to fight for it.

When arrived to check-in, the only girl behind counter was flirting with a construction worker, ignoring us. It took 5 minutes that a second clerk arrived and checked us into an suite 304, third floor.
Hot water in bathroom turned cold in 1 minutes and the exhaust fan was non operational. A maintenance person check the hot water acknowledging the problem but no action was taken. Every day we notify the main desk of hot water and fan problem. All we got was they will call the maintenance.
During our 5 days of stay, our room and the hall way were not vacuumed, we had to chase maids to get towels from them.
Continental breakfast was in line with other hotels. However, customer service is what this hotel needs to work on.

The hotel is located close to the freeway, so it is easy to get to. It has plenty of parking and is dog friendly. The staff was nice as was the room. We only stayed a single night on a road trip, so I don't have much more detail to give, but I would stay there again.

Feels a little like a motel with all outside room access but the rooms are updated and nice. The front lobby is pretty nice as is the pool and the breakfast they serve every morning is great and one of the reasons I will look for la Quinta whenever I need a decent priced room for a night or two. Just note that the "Inn" label vs the "Suite" one means a not as nice outside hotel experience.

The room over all is not too bad. The TV does not work correctly. The shower has a pretty low flow. And when I've asked for an extra blanket or towels the person bringing it seems like he is bothered by the request.
On the plus side the bed is comfy and we have a fridge and microwave plus free WiFi.

Great place to stay. Staff is always pleasant to work with. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable and the free breakfast is awesome. Only downside is the homeless that live down under the bridge nearby. They have a history of breaking into cars.

Great location, and generally clean rooms. The suites are very large and even have ceiling fans in the living area. The A/C worked great. Our room had a distinct odor on one side of the bedroom. Not sure what it was, but kind of a urine smell, so they should probably get some good carpet cleaning done. Otherwise, everything else was fine for a short weekend stay. The breakfast was the usual junk that isn't worth eating, but it's free. Considering the condition of the rooms and minimal breakfast options, I don't think it was worth what they were charging, even if it is in California.

Somewhat disappointed with this particular property. I am a La Quinta Rewards member, and always get a welcome gift at check-in. Not at this location Room was clean and in decent condition, but did have a heavy smoke residue smell. Room did not have a mini fridge for microwave as advertised when I made my reservation. Since I was only staying one night, this wasn't necessarily an issue. However, typically I stay two to three nights and like having food available in my room. Staff at check-in seemed uninterested, not necessarily rude just not present. Staff at checkout was extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with.

My family & I had a good stay. The staff was very kind to checking us in & out. Our rooms were nice & clean. The kids loved the pool area & breakfast as well.

Decent breakfast, but nothing to rave about. No on site laundry whatsoever. No fitness room. Moderate sized rooms, clean with basic amenities available in only the "upgrade" rooms. Very friendly staff. Outdoor pool is fair, very small hot tub.

Rooms feel recently upgraded but the hotel is an older design with outward facing doors. Due to this construction, there is a lot more noise from cars and people in the parking lot and there is also a train nearby that is quite loud if you have a room on the back side of the hotel. Service is fine and the breakfast is simple but sufficient.

It was a good experience, easy to find as soon as you get off the freeway it's right in front of you. The best part it has the best price around the event we went to. It might look different from out side but , the room was clean I was really surprised. Like they say "Never Judge a book by its Cover" Service was awesome and so polite. Our stay even included breakfast that's a plus!! Overall my family was satisfied with the stay at La Quinta Ventura. Thanks!

Stayed about 10 minutes from the harbor before a diving trip. Location was good for an early start. Rooms were nice. Plenty of outlets including usb charging station. No refrigerator though. Breakfast started at 7 and we left at 6:15 so no comment on that.
