The staff was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but our room and the entire 3rd floor hallway had not been cleaned. We were going to say something about our room, but on the way we noticed how dirty the hallway was so we knew it wouldn't make a difference.
Reviewing room 429:
PROS
The accommodations are quite comfortable. The bed is firm and inviting. The decor is chic without being overly done. There is a solid range of channels on the 50" flat screen. The bathroom is a little small but very serviceable. The facility provided an ample amount of care products and towels. The water is hot and the pressure is good. My room had a fridge and a microwave. There is free parking with a keyed door from the parking lot that allows you to bypass the lobby. There is free, secure WiFi with decent speeds.
CONS
Too much noise from the hallway got into the room. Everytime a door opened and closed nearby, you could easily hear it. Plus, there is no room safe. And the comforter had some unsavory spots.
Loved it. The room was clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. I will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
I stay at a La Quinta hotels a few times per year when traveling with my dog. They’re pet friendly and she stays for free. This particular hotel is one of the newer ones I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed here several times. New, clean, and a nice treadmill I use every time I stay here. If I could improve anything it would be better and more spacious parking, but that’s true for all hotels
Place is ultra modern with a great, friendly staff and amazing customer service. Property has a huge indoor pool with a whirlpool, a fitness center and a business center. Mornings are great with a hot breakfast of eggs, meats, fresh waffles, and plenty of healthy food options. The location is great with it being within a short walk or drive to a mall, plenty of restaurants, a movie theater and shopping. Can say enough great things about the hotel or its location close to everything to do. Five stars all the way.
Our room had a mini fridge and a microwave. There were quite a few chips up and down the molding of our bathroom door: nothing a standard paint job wouldn't fix. Nice pool and okay fitness center. Pretty standard hotel with a decent continental breakfast.
We will definitely be back! I called when I was 30 mins away and the receptionist reserved a room on the spot. Room was very large; especially for the price and everything was clean! Breakfast had plenty of options and we were able to take it back to our room. We usually stay at Hampton but this La Quinta stepped up to the plate!
The staff here is absolutely excellent. Manager Norberto Roman did everything in his power to accommodate our unique needs. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfy! I would definitely stay at this La Quinta again!
We stayed in a suite on the fourth floor of this hotel. The cleaning staff has plenty of room for improvement as the mirrors around the jacuzzi were very dirty. My 9 yr old suffered a spider bite on his arm during his sleep (we reported this to the front desk). Otherwise, everything else was satisfactory. The staff was helpful and courteous. The rates were a little high, but expected as demand for that location is high. Parking is very limited, I don't think there are enough parking spaces for every room to have a space.
This place has been updated recently. You can tell by the elevator and some of the permanent fixtures that it was built in the 90s but it is modern and comfortable. The rooms could be dusted better like under the microwave and on top of shelves.
We booked our room in advance based on the price, and pictures over the La Quinta in Paducah, Ky. (Big mistake) We were traveling home. The first impression at the lobby was nice. Unfortunately we got to our room, and it smelled like dogs have been using for a bathroom for a while. It is carpet, not wood laminate, which is bad for a pet friendly hotel. The windows were filthy, the coffee maker in the room still had an old used filter in it. Stains on the carpet and pull out sofa. The bathtub didn't fill so I had to fix the drain plug for my 10 month old daughter to take a bath. We didn't have bedding for the sleeper sofa, as we requested over the phone with them. My 7 year old wanted to swim, so I took her to the pool. One of the lights didn't work making the pool area dark, and there is green mold growing around the pool. We paid way more for this hotel and room than it's worth. In comparison, we stayed at the La Quinta in Effingham, IL, and that hotel is run better, cleaner, cheaper price, more accommodating and amazing rooms. We won't stay here again.
The first night was excellent. My wife ordered pizza for our son and the staff gave is cups, plates, and napkins as the local dominoes forgot to bring them.
Upon returning to the hotel after being out all day we could not access the side doors as our keys no longer worked; no problem we walked right through the front and went up to our room. Upon getting to the room the key no longer worked for the room either; we were then issued new keys. Got into the room to see that they cleaning staff DID NOT take the towels we had used the night before and only took the pizza box that was empty. They only left 2 towels and wash cloths although there are 3 of us in the room. When I went down to the front desk to get an extra (like I did the previous night) the front desk only had towels; no wash cloths were available. The lady at the front desk apologized and said her manager would be in tomorrow; were leaving at 3am. How does a hotel know there are 2 adults and 1 child in a room and only leave enough for 2 people?
The key being described and leaving the used towels behind were minor issues that could have been overlooked; the bath linen situation is unheard of. LaQuinta dropped the ball on our stay and I will certainly look for other options if we visit the area again.
My 19 year old daughter, 20 year old friend and dog were traveling from Southwest Florida to Iowa. I called this Inn and specifically asked about a room reservation for them checking on both the pet policy and age requirements. I was assured there would be no problem with either and so booked the room. After driving 13 hours they were denied the room reserved for them. Needless to say they were exhausted and quite upset. I was frantic and tried to speak with the manager on duty who just kept repeating I'm sorry that is our policy. She did nothing to try and help. She put me on hold and eventually disconnected me telling my daughter that I was rude to her. Terrible public relations. I will NEVER stay at any LaQuinta Inn.
A great respite for the tired traveler. Plenty of space for XL rigs. Easy to get to from I-24. The breakfast was nice and clean. Very pet friendly so expect some furry faces. Helpful staff.
