It's closed now, but former review: Okay, let's be honest, it's not fancy But I get the food I want, get through self checkout, and out the door to a parking spot less than 6 cars away I've never got that done at noon at any other Kroger or Walmart in 18 years.

I was never begged from and I've never seen insects in produce.

Terrible location. Was approached immediately by beggers. A person was sleeping right in front of the store. Prices were higher at this location than other Kroger's. Not a fun place.

Positives : LOVE the staff & being a small store it's easy to stop in and grab items for dinner quickly

Stuff that needs to be worked on : not the best produce north augustas location carries better fresh foods & this store doesn't always carry the same stuff so some days I go for something I got there before they don't have it & this has only ever happened 2x in the 2+ years I've been shopping here but I went to grab formula on Wic and they were out of the kids he's on other stores usually just swap it out for the nearest competitor but this store wouldn't do I had to drive out for it both times (that kinda agitated me esp one night it was thanksgiving eve and I was cooking)

But overall good experiences there some stuff can be worked on but nobodies perfect at least the staff is great ! Esp ms Gloria my oldest is a hellion but she always seems to keep him calm takes him and puts him to work while I run and grab stuff with the little ones (: never had a bad/rude cashier in this store unlike the Washington rd store

Poor selection especially when compared with other Kroger stores. Ghetto feel. The parking lot is not Safe. People panhandle and I have seen people looking in car Windows. Produce and meat departments are spotty. I recommend going to Washington Rd or North Augusta Kroger stores if you have transportation.

I've got to be honest I lovingly refer to this store as the "Ghetto Kroger". People of all walks of life visit this store, but on occasion there's some weak wrestling or someone getting loud with the cashiers. Groceries are expensive, and the cashiers don't set the prices so there's no reason to hollar at them. I love shopping at this Kroger because they usually have great markdowns on healthy food, and it is right beside my job. The staff are always friendly, and tend to greet regulars by name. The deli staff is always very attentative when I walk by the cold cuts case. The same goes for the butchers in the back. The store is older, and hasn't been updated like the Washington Rd. Kroger. The outdated store is as clean as it can be. The cons to shopping at this Kroger is the homeless population that likes to sit outside. Once in a while they will ask me for change. In the early mornings there's a Jehovah Witness running around handing out Watch Tower magazines. Back to the homeless population They must use the restroom outside because the entrance of the store always smells like solid human waste. So if you aren't high maintenance, can stand a foul smell for 30 seconds, and want good savings on healthy produce this is the place for you!
