  Only reason I gave a 3 stars was due to how nice anika is but she had slow braiders and they are always on the phone. I get if it helps time go by but if talking on the phone slows you down, don't get on it. Got my box braids done over the summer and they lasted a month, front of my hair was braided down and my edges start coming up. Smh

  Staff very unprofessional. Constantly talking and taking phone calls, one even came in late and started my hair, went across the street to get breakfast and sat down and ate it without saying a word. I’ve tried then 5 times and only one lady is on her game.

  Took two people thirteen hours for regular sized box braids. And two weeks later they slipping out? Over priced and no experience. Never again.

  So, went to check it out. I have always wanted braids, or "genie locs" as some call them I just went to the do to ask about them, and I said "am I in the right place for braids?" And they said no. I'm guessing it's because I am a white guy. So, to hell with that place. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's a dump anyways.

  Anika's African Hair Braiding is amazing. I had my hair braided yesterday in preparation for my annual cruise. Normally twists takes 8-9hours Anika started on my hair and she was non-stop lightening fast. She was done in 6 hours tops. My twists looks fabulous. And I am cruise ready. I definitely would recommend getting your lovely locks here.

  Staff is very friendly. Did not have to wait long even while scheduling a set of micro twists 30 minutes before I arrived. Did excellent work.

  Awesome place awesome people and professional, polite and fast workers. Plus they do all types of natural hair styles, Updo for weddings and parties. Men, women and children styles just name it. I have known them for years they are very mature and respectful. They are very good at that ART that's the most important.

  This was my 1st experience & it was awful, they were polite, but the service & quality of their work was not good especially for the price. I scheduled an appointment days before & she took a walk in before my time which she couldn't finish so I had to come back 3-4 hrs later.
  For the length of my hair with two people doing it still took twice as long. The parts were uneven, not neat, a lot of loose hair & they were not tight plus a week later over 10 have come out. For representation of African Hair Braiding this was unacceptable & overcharged because the quality doesn't match doesn't equal up. Glad I was only using them as a fill in while the shop I normally go to was closed on that day, I will never return to that shop again. Maybe they are only good at braiding hair to scalp styles.
