I love Khiels products. I love this store. Every time I go in they remember my name and greet me as soon as I walk in. I'm in there once every couple months not extremely frequently, for them to remember my name, that's impressive. In between visits I get handwritten post cards letting me know about new items and the cards are also just checking in to make sure I'm happy with the products I'm currently using. This store is amazing.

I do really love Kiehls products-that's not why I gave this store 1 star-it's the bad customer service.

I've been into the store a couple of times (about 4) and each time I go in all of the associates are SUPER pushy about trying to get you to buy products.

It was when I went last night I determined that I won't be going back, but instead going to Nordstrom where they sell the same products but have better care for their customers.

The fact is, I don't mind buying a nice luxury product here and there but Kiehls products are very pricey, and although I love the fact about the high quality of the items, I just like to pace myself and try the products before I drop $70 on an eye cream alone.

Being that my skin will break out over ANYTHING, regardless of the quality, every time I come in I ask the associates for samples, and they always say that they're out. Being that the items are expensive it doesn't make sense for me to buy it only to find out that it irritates my skin and then have to return a used product, and then putting the store in the situation of not being able to resell that product. The past 2 times I've gone I've noticed that they will say they are out but other associates helping other customers will go behind the counter and give them the same samples that the associate helping me out said they were out of!

Last night I went in to purchase a facial sunscreen that I absolutely fell in love with, what should've been a quick errand took 25 minutes because the associate kept pushing and pushing for me to buy more! Each time I let her know that I have a similar product, and that I don't like to waste product so I'll be back when I run out of what I'm currently using. She STILL didn't stop, continuously pushing for me to buy more! She wouldn't stop asking me, would you like to buy this? The answer each time was no, I just want the sunscreen.

I'm fed up with being treated as if it's a bad thing if I don't spend that much money at this store, I'm not a money bag, and I have to work hard to earn the money for the things that I buy. The Kiehls counter at Nordstrom will do from now on.
