I was in the market for a new car. Kerry Nissan had a Volkswagen Passat my wife and I were interested in. We came to the lot to check it out but found out it was at their used car lot for the VW dealership. The salesman drove us over to the lot for us to get a look at it.
We were serious about buying and had been pre approved through Cap One. Unfortunately that night we had a doctors appointment scheduled. We liked the car and agreed to start the process. We both mentioned we had to leave but would be back. Sales rep took our credit app. He mentioned he did not know what it meant by pre approved by Capital One. I stated specifically they would have to do a hard pull on our credit through Capital One only. I even had the email where it had instructions for the dealer.
Needless to say we left for out appointment and left a note for the sale rep. He had run our credit and had disappeared for ten minutes. Left our contact information.
Rather than one hard pull, I got a warning that my credit had been pulled multiple times instead of once through Capital One. To make matters worst they chose not to call us back at all. Multiple credit pulls even though I was clear we only needed Capital One to be pulled.
We never heard back from the salesman and I had to call the next day. Transferred to the sales managers voice mail. Left a voice mail and almost a week later, still no call. This is the epitome of poor customer service. If you can't make the deal, even though I was approved then have the professional courtesy to call back or better yet call and say I can not get this car but I have x amount of cars that we can work with.
Apparently Kerry Nissan has so many people buying cars that they could care less about customer service. There are several choices in that area. Pass the Kerry dealerships and work with someone who WANTS your business.
Went in to check out a used Subaru WRX, went for a test drive with Joel Epperson, he was very informational and went above expectations to show me everything about the car i wanted to know, he was very easy to talk to, very helpful, and provided a great overall experience!
Tire pressure light came on so I asked the dealership to check tires. They found a couple of tires off. They evened them all out and explained why the change of weather causes lower pressures. They were very nice and professional and didn't charge me!
I heard a commercial that snagged my interest & we went to check into it it was about a "key for key" exchange allowing a person to trade vehicles and only pay taxes, title, & registration. We were told basically that anyone qualified for that deal, but we didn't realize it was meant for people who already had a car payment (which we didn't). After a few hours of picking & choosing what we wanted to exchange for, we found out the "glitch" in our communications.
Although we felt a little let down about our mutual misunderstandings, they were very gracious and went above and beyond to help us find a comparable vehicle in our monthly payment range (I needed a dependable vehicle regardless because of my various commutes to the locations I go for work… some of them put lots of miles on all at once & my old car wasn't safe to drive like that).
Our salesman is relatively new to his job, but he was very helpful & when he didn't have a solid answer for us, he had no problem asking his manager to better explain things to both himself & to us - which I think was awesome because every job has a learning curve. Never once were they pushy and never once did they make us feel uncomfortable or unworthy of their undivided attention. We spent quite a huge chunk of time at their lot that day (those helping us were there about 2 - 2 1/2 hours after their closing time just to make sure we were well taken care of.
I am very impressed with the amount of customer service given to us and we are also very happy with the 2014 Nissan Rogue that we left with.
If you feel the need to get a new car or if you have to have something more dependable than what you already have… go see Joel Epperson at Kerry Nissan of Florence. He's a great guy just starting out in his line of work, but I think that also made him more attentive to our needs and more understanding of getting us what we needed for a price we could also be happy with.
Thanks, Joel!!
I needed a key made for my car. Kerry Nissan got it done quickly, and the price wasn't too bad. They also have a sweet GTR in their showroom which is a hard car to find.
Do not get your transmission fluid changed here. My car ran perfectly until I got the trans fluid changed. It made noise right after I got it back. I took it back and they said it was engine. It wasn't. Then they said it was the tires. It's not. Saturday They were horribly rude about how there was nothing wrong with my car. Two days later, they finally admitted it's the trans but it's obviously not their fault and I need to pay $4500 to get it fixed after doing everything else to prove it was the trans. I am so glad I find out about this place before I bought a Leaf. Scheduled maintenance showed their colors. I drive too far everyday to deal with this kind of issue.
I purchased a used vehicle. I am happy with the price paid and my trade in amount. it was a low pressure environment and I felt that the staff was helpful. I did notice a previously unseen scratch as I was leaving. ( used car so not unexpected) It was after normal hours and they were unable to try to buff it out etc. However, they asked me to return and they would make it right and provide me with a loaner.
I would return for another purchase.
DONT Waste your time buy your vehicle somewhere else! The lady in the Title department is very rude! She hung up on me as I was explaining to her how inconvenient it is for me to have to bring my car in asap when they had ample time (26 days) to contact me about the issue they knew about before I purchase the vehicle but chose not to. I did Not curse or yell at her. She just decide she done. I was upset that no one contacted me and wanted them to know this is not okay. I am currently sitting in the lobby still have not talked to a manager about this this happened at 3:09pm it's 4pm. This is Ridiculous I am Furious it has been almost an hour now
I found a used car on their website that I wanted to test drive. I called their sales department to make sure it was there and was told it was still available. I was informed that I could come over in a half-hour to test the vehicle and to simply ask for the sales manager. When I arrived a half-hour later and asked about the car and to speak with the manager, I was given a "deer in the headlights" look by the employees. So they looked around for him for a few minutes and found out that he was off for the day!
Strike one for scheduling a test drive with a potential customer and leaving.
They then looked up the car I wanted in their system and told me "It's just been sold". Really?! They sold a car in less than thirty minutes? I don't believe that whatsoever, considering the car was just listed three days ago.
Strike two for not having the car I originally asked about.
The final strike was to ask if I was interested in some other vehicle. I told them "No". I was asked a couple questions about other models on the lot that were not even remotely close to what I originally came in for. Seems like bait-and-switch to me! Today was the first and last time I will ever step on Kerry Nissan's lot again. If I could give a 0/5 review for wasting my time, I would.
When I bought my Nissan leaf here they promised I could use their charging station for free anytime I liked. Everytime I went to use it, the charger would be blocked by employees cars. Then the charger broke. 5 months later it is still broken.
Took my car in for some recall items. The customer service was impressive. Even though I did not have an appointment they didn't make a big deal about it and got me in right away. They had me back on the road in a reasonable amount of time.
This place is great! I would recommend these guys to everyone looking for a new/used car! They have an amazing sales team that really takes the time to find the best option available for your situation/needs. If you are looking for a car Kerry Nissan in Florence is definitely a great place to start!
Be prepared. If you don't know how to haggle for a good deal then just pull your pants down and bend over. Make sure you take names of people you talk to. Get everything you want and anything they offer in writing and make sure the finance manager and another manager signs it. If buying used, request that they do a 150 point inspections on it before you sign or have them sign something stating they will do the inspection. Then schedule appointment for the inspection.
