DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND/or GAS HERE.On numerous (more than 3 different occasions) I came to this store 10-15 mins before their POSTED close time ONLY TO BE TURNED AWAY. I mentioned that they are closing early and that I drove all the way from the North side to shop here(I could SEE people still shopping inside the store). NO luck. I would not suggest traveling east just to go to Kenwoods because they will not let you in and they close at least 15 mins EARLY.

This is quite the most complete adult beverage store for the south side of Chicago. They also feature a rather respectable collection of cigars.

Was not able to purchase a few of my usual products. They were not available. That was a first for me at Kenwood. The clerk was going to sell me bags with out asking. I got taken before in Kenwood so I know to watch and stop them. I told the clerk I was not going to buy a bag. "You can't walk out of here carrying your purchases unbagged." I informed the clerk that I had it covered. "What are you going to put your purchases in?" I wanted to tell him he was getting in my business, looking at my purse etc.,but I didn't. I did say Kenwood has quite a racket going on. Trying to force you to buy their bags. Other businesses allow you to carry your purchases out in your hands, arms, or even in their carts.

Lousy store. Don't like it. Never go into "Kenwood Liquors". Be prepared, to be FORCED to PAY EXTRA for a bag, else leave that poison on the counter! Don't buy ANY alcohol in that store if you are FORCED TO PAY for a bag. You buying $20 worth of liqour, they should GIVE you a FREE BAG!

Kenwood is a pretty decent liquor store to go to. Every time you go most of the time they have what you want to purchase. The prices are very reasonable and the staff seems to be nice.
