I have rented from Kathy at least twice per year for the past 4 years and had nothing but 5 star service. Last year when we arrived at midnight and had difficulty locating the valve to turn the water on, Kathy herself answered the phone and came to the unit within 10 minutes and helped us out.

Do NOT rent through this company!!!! We rented a condo at Lovers Beach Club Resort. We arrived after hours and the email we were sent did not include details that we would have to drive to her office to get the key to our condo. The information was confusing and disorganized and we never received our "gift package." Of course, we have to stop at her office--why doesn't she have it on the table in the condo when we get there. Now to the condo unit. The security front gate was busted and secured with two bricks holding it in place---so anyone could get in by moving the bricks and swinging open the gate. We awoke to not a beautiful beachfront condo as advertised but a view of the pool--no beach view. Along with the pool view was a view of scaffolding swinging in front of our windows. Apparently, they were doing some serious renovation and our days were filled with sandblasters and working blasting off the old concrete on our side of the building. It was so loud we could not talk in our condo unit and they were working on the pool side so we could lay out there and be covered by concrete dust and chunks. We had to watch our step so as not to cut our feet. This was our whole week there from 9-4. What a relaxing vacation !-- NOT!!!!!!!!! The fact that we were not told so we could reschedule or find a quieter place is unacceptable and unprofessional. The condo was ok. The carpet was not new as advertised and the sliding door to the deck was hard to open. Plan on bringing toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, napkins and everything else that is normally furnished. We have stayed at several condos in Florida and this is not even on the radar as acceptable. Apparently, there was wi fi in the building, but the paperwork we received stated there was none as there was no password furnished. I'd give them a negative star rating if allowed.

In case this review is too long for anyone to read, here is a short summary. Be very cautious with the business you conduct with Kathy Nesbit Vacations. Once they have your money, good luck getting anything back if something goes wrong. If you're looking for customer service, you're not going to find it here. The staff is cold and incompetent.

I'm rating 2 stars to keep it fair b/c overall it was something so small that turned out to be more than what it needed to be. We rented a unit in Ft. Myers from KNV and attempted to put them though a very rigorous Q&A. I had specific questions for them b/c I had a few bad experiences in the past when renting condos. One very basic question was whether or not the unit had cable television in both bedrooms. I was told via email that they did and even confirmed it over the phone with Leanne from the office. When we arrived at the unit, we noticed that the second bedroom, which is where the kids were sleeping, only had a digital antenna for local channels. I immediately brought this to their attention but did not make too much of a fuss b/c I knew there was no way to add cable to the unit during the stay. The second issue with the room was that the TV was one with component connections only where one of the connections is supposed to also be compatible with the standard yellow rca/composite cable. That connection wasn't working. The Xbox was coming in black and white and the dvd player wasn't even recognized. I ended up having to drive about 14 miles to the nearest WalMart to buy an adapter in order to get the DVD player and the Xbox to work on the television. In addition to that, I also had to trouble myself to have movies rented in order to keep the kids entertained in a room without channels they are used to like Nickelodeon and Disney.

In short nothing was done to compensate me for any of the above mentioned. The turn around time on the emails was not very good. At one point I went back to the office to talk about my situation and Leanne and she tried to say that my email was not specific enough and the unit does have satellite cable. My email specifically asked for cable television. Everyone can agree that cable television and local channels are totally different. I asked for a $100-150 refunded for my troubles and they said they could not do that. I asked for an accounting fee refunded (a fee I paid extra to be able to use my credit card for the full amount b/c they wanted me to pay with a check) they said they could not do that. All they offered was to reimburse me back $28 for the adapter I purchased if I provided them with the receipt.

I emailed them the receipt and confirmed the day I left the keys that would be sending me the check. After over a week that I had left and not received anything I followed up with them in regards to my money. Kathy replied stating the maintenance man said the adapter wasn't in the unit. Apparently she felt that I worked for her and that I was doing some form of service where I was fixing the issue and leaving it fixed and all she was going to reimburse me was for the adapter. Her emails never stated for me to leave the adapter and now she states she is not going to reimburse me for that either.

Lucky for me the unit was clean, the location was ok, and like I said in the beginning, something so small ended up being more than what it needed to be. Here I am done with my vacation and still having to deal with this issue.

I have rented several times though Kathy Nesbit Vacations and they are the best on the beach. They are great to work with and very trustworthy. There units are exactly as advertised and they are right there if you need anything at all. I highly recommend them if you are planning a vacation on Fort Myers Beach.

Once they get your money, forget about the service! We stayed at the Sunset Condos in Ft Myers Beach, Unit 805, for 2 weeks in July 2013, in a beautiful beachfront corner view condo. We found the condo through VRBO and upon contacting the owner; he advised that he rents through Kathy Nesbit Real Estate Agency. The agency sent us a contract and required all the rent up front, in addition to a $95.00 cleaning fee. Upon arrival, we were quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit. I took the attached photo within 10 minutes of being at the unit. The floors were filthy, the deck furniture was grimy and the kitchen counters were sticky. Due to it being the weekend, we immediately went to Publix and purchased cleaning supplies. What a start to a vacation, having to clean the condo prior to using it, despite paying a $95.00 cleaning fee. In addition to the cleaning issue, we noticed that the air-conditioning unit was making a lot of noise and not cooling the unit adequately.
On Monday morning, we stopped at the Kathy Nesbit Real Estate Agency and advised them of our displeasure and showed Leanne the attached photo. She offered no apology or compensation. She simply stated that we should have called them immediately and they would have had someone come to clean the condo because they have a 24 hour on call service. As for the air-conditioning system, she “knew” that it was working because they had just had the unit serviced and the serviceman replaced it with new parts.
The next day, the service man arrived and advised that he was not surprised that the compressor was failing. He had just serviced the unit and was only able to get it to maintain a temperature of 77 or 78 degrees. He advised that the A/C unit needed replaced, but was a two day job. He explained that he was going to contact Kathy Nesbit and she would get back to us with a plan. Our next contact with the agency was two days later, advising that the serviceman was going to show up in 15 minutes to measure the A/C unit. He was hoping it could “ride out” our stay. We were hoping to be contacted by the agency with a back-up plan, but that never transpired. Fortunately, the A/C held up, even though it was making a lot of noise and keeping the condo at a bearable temperature, although not as cool as we would have liked.
Despite the cleaning and A/C issues, the most disappointing fact was that the real estate company didn’t seem to care or even call to check on the situation. We have travelled a lot and never encountered such a lack of customer service. We emailed the condo owner about the situation, but he has not responded.
