If your going to come here do it around lunch because at dinner time the food is dryed out and the containers are almost emty. since the staff changed or owner changed the buffet has lost selection and quality. truly id go somewhere else, effingham and mt.zion's Chinese buffet are very good and kept full.

Priced way too high for lack of selection and food that was out was dry and in general nasty. Will NEVER go there again, stay away and save your money at $10 a person it’s ridiculous!

The food is delicious, of varieties, and fresh. It's well worth the money you would spend at comparable places. A great place where you can taste the authentic southern Chinese food. The owner is friendly. Quiet, spacious, it is always a place where I would like to meet with my friends for brunch or lunch, and you never need to worry about someone coming over to "rush you out". Compared to other Chinese restaurants like Hunan, QQ, Jumbo Buffet is absolutely my favorite!

First and last time there. Arrived close to dinner time. The Mac n cheese looked like noodles drowned in milk. The corn appeared to have milk in it as well. So steered clear of the dried out and nasty food. Water tasted awful. Outdated prices on their website. To top it off I went to pay and crawling on the counter was a baby roach. As I signed my receipt I watched the lady squish the roach with her finger and slid it down the counter toward her. I immediately washed my hands told my family we are never coming back. In the area where they pour drinks I watched the lady who waited on us stepping on roaches. This place is beyond disgusting. I would not ever eat there again not even if someone paid me to. There were children running around (not customers) which did not bother me. But when their being yelled at from across the room. Might as well eat in my own home. Slightly cheaper then QQ Buffet but now I know why.

QQ is better but Jumbo is a nice alternative. Always had good service.

This place is horrible! The food is never fresh, the buffet is always empty. If you ask for fresh food they get mad and act like your an inconvenience to them. Do not take a chance at this place you will be disappointed. There are little kids working here we where checked out but a 8 year old, the other kids are running around and screaming. It seams that they are running a daycare inside of the restaurant.

Food was cold and did not appear fresh at my 11am visit. Disappointed with the selection and price for poor quality food. Staff was unfriendly. Will not return.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received, from the owner herself! The food is awful, undercooked, all the fried food was cold and hard, and I had the most awful experience here.
If you want to go here, I wouldn't suggest it. It's ten dollars per person for low quality, imitation food that can actually pose a health risk to your family. The owner is also very immature, and she screamed at me when I had politely complained about the quality of her food, and service. She legitimately argued with me for ten minutes, and it was really one way. I could not have been politer, and she was screaming at me. Then, she stormed off into the kitchen and screamed at her staff about me. I will never go her again, and I don't think you should either!

Really bad service. The new owner is really bad at speaking toward her customers. Not only was the food cold, but they mixed previous batches of food. she wouldn't even listen to us when we politely asked if she could possibly address the situation. She exploded on us And said that we were trying to get free food. I would rather have just went to a McDonald's.

Horrible new owners who are themselves discriminating! She asked me to leave because I had my service dog with me! Yes, she did, while my SD was standing quietly next to me as her children were racing around the restaurant (being uncontrolled age-appropriate very young children - one in a walker!)

I calmly informed her he was a service dog (answer to question 1 allowed by the ADA) and that he does mobility assistance, seizure alert and some hearing tasks (answer to question 2 allowed by the ADA). I will point out, he was fully vested with patches identifying him as a service dog, he was calmly standing at my side and he had not moved while she talked to me except to provide slightly more bracing to me as I got more agitated (which is part of his job) and he was in no way disturbing her other customers, her or the food in any way (as he's just over 8 years old and he has been trained and reinforced to just blend in when we are out in public. The most common complement we get almost everywhere is "oh my gosh, I didn't even know there was a dog there"). This is not the first time we've been to this establishment recently (under the new owners), he has worked perfectly each time in the past, laying under the table at my feet or standing directly at my side as we walked, but for some reason, this time it was a major issue.

She again informed me he couldn't be with me because of the food. I again informed her, due to the ADA laws, federal and state, he absolutely could be anywhere I had to be as he was working with me. She said if a customer had an issue with him, we'd have to leave. I informed her that would be against the law; she could not ask us to leave because another customer didn't like us there, only if he did something aggressive or inappropriate, which he had not. She got huffy and stalked away.

I looked up the IL website for the state service animal laws and the specific page which gives answers pertaining to restaurants and wrote it down for her and, after paying, gave it to her. When I politely told her what was written down and that she should read over it so there was no confusion in the future, she informed me she "understood, but" I stated simply, "I don't believe you do because the next service team who comes in and you ask them to leave because they have a service dog; that's discrimination. You are breaking the law and they have every right to call the police."

Not only was the food lackluster, but in the face of rudeness and discrimination when my dog laid quietly under my table and her children hovered around my table during my meal like I was an exhibit, with no intercession on her part, I will never again return to that restaurant. I am always happy to educate about service dogs, especially children, but I am not a circus side show. I went for a quiet lunch to de-stress for a few minutes and I left feeling angry and like I'd been singled out - all because I have disabilities which require the assistance of my teammate who happens to be canine.
