Beautiful landscapes with amazing geography. My kids had a blast running around and climbing on rocks. This place is something you have to see with your own eyes. Words will never capture the complete beauty of this place. To see the whole park you will definitely need a couple of days at least. They have a Junior Ranger program here as well that is great for the kids and very reasonable for ages 4 - 14.

Amazing as most of the National Parks in US.
Parks rangers are always helpful. Indications are clear.
Don't forget to stop by one of the entrance house to pick up the journal of the park which include a map with all the main spot to see.
Trails are well done and traced. Just follow the sticks with directions.
Don't forget your bottles of water it can get really hot over there!

Absolutely in love with this national park. Even though our visit was very brief, there were so many beautiful sights to see. You could spend forever here seeing all the sights. The Joshua trees were interesting but it's the rock formations and breathtaking views that will stick in my mind. We drove through from the south to the northern side which I recommend as the way the park unfolds in that direction is gorgeous. Hope to visit again someday and spend more time here.

This is a great place to visit, to rock climb or camp. Growing up there I enjoyed doing both. I will great memories of the wild animals including getting to see two big Horn sheep only feet from me as the one drank for the ponds of rattlesnakes canyon and the other eating vegetation. Both of these are rare sights as for the most part they never allow humans to get very close. Very lucky and very quiet to see them. I will miss this place but will have a pace in my heart for this National Park.

Beautiful and amazing national park. While staying in Palm Springs , We decided to take a trip to Joshua Tree. We thought it would be a great place to go since it was only about an hour away. The park itself is magnificent. The desert landscapes, rock formations,, and the Joshua Trees were all beautiful. We drove around the park and stopped of at some of the rock formations and had a great time doing so.. It was so relaxing just to drive around and enjoy the park. Yes it was a little hot but definitely will come back for another visit during a cooler time of the year. It was great to get out of the car though and enjoy the desert scenery. There are great landscape photo opportunities here but basically it was just so beautiful that I did not take to many photos. I just looked all over and enjoyed it.

This is definitely ia great place to come. Great day trip if you are in the Palm Springs / Palm Desert area. Overall I had a great time and hope to explore more of the park next time.

Awesome place to explore. Plan on driving around the park to see all of the sites and climb on rocks. I wish I had brought a pair of gloves as the rocks are rough to the touch.
October weather is cool and beautiful.

If you love rock climbing, letting your imagination run wild spotting animals and faces in the rock formations or allowing yourself be transported back in times as you hike to abandoned mines or desert oasis, this park is for you. It looks like the "land of giants" rock quarry in the dessert. It's very different from any national park I have been to.

A beautiful view and many places to hike. If you want peace and quite, then this is the place to be. It is the desert so make sure you do some research before you come out here and don't just bring a water bottle bring a 64 oz bottle for yourself and another container of water just in case.

Joshua Tree is great. We went there for the first time a couple weeks ago, and it was well worth the drive.

At Joshua Tree there are a ton of Campgrounds and they all vary in landscapes, and they all vary in sizes.

We went to the Cottonwood Campground on our first day, but only because everything was already full. So, we went there not by choice, but because it was the only option.
Tip: Go early on Thursday through Saturday.
On our second day, we went to The best campground there, JUMBO ROCK! And it was amazing. The winds did pick up a bit at night, but man oh man it was fun exploring in our campsite, jumping on rocks, and watching the sun set.

Also, if you forget anything for your camping trip Joshua Tree isn't far from any convenience stores.

I would definitely recommend going to the Cholla Cactus Garden, Jumbo Rock(even if it's just to explore), Skull Rock, and Arch Rock.

It is a unique desert with scant vegetation but magnificent Joshua Trees.
It is very well maintained natural reserve park with plenty of hiking trials and climbing routes. The roads are tidy and well maintained, even better than highways. I drove through the park and was impressed by the well described exhibits and sign post that you won't be lost at any point if you follow the map provided at the entrance. I enjoyed hike to the damn- a small water reservoir where squirrels were enjoying juniper seeds. Would love to explore it again.

Amazing Park, So quiet and calming. Was definitely a great place to visit. Much better than those crowded lakes and beaches. I prefer going on the second half of the day around 5 in the summer time.

This is a very unique national park. For those who love the desert it is perfect. But for those who don't, like myself, it is still beautiful in its own way. Plenty of hiking trails. Spectacular views. Rocks for climbing. Places to camp. Abundance of plant and wildlife. The family and I will be back.

The desert nights are beautiful. climbing boulders, hiking, exploring makes you feel like a kid. I enjoy that there are many places you can backpack to, since the camping sites are hard to get (no reservations)

I love camping here in the early spring. It's great for meteor showers too. Heck, even just a day drive during the spring or winter blooms are amazing. National Parks are a treasure, and this desert gem surely does not disappoint.
