This was a lovely find during a road trip through the state. I love independent book stores, and this one was visually beautiful and well-stocked. It had a great selection of political/history books. There were tons a great souvenirs and gifts along with cozy places to sit and relax.

Great collection of new books and now has a gift shop.vibe with arts and craft items available for sake.
It's also the entrance to the Bronte Bistro, a "secret" restaurant with a unique menu of delicious offerings.
All food items are good. Some are better than others. I like everything on the menu.response / report this review -

This place is not only a book store, go here for amazing gifts for people of all ages. They have a great selection of toys for kids, awesome local KY proud gifts, and unique items for someone "who has everything"! I purchased all of my children's Easter gifts this year at Joseph-Beth!

I have been going to Joseph-Beth since the 80's. It's the best book store I've ever visited. Great staff, great facility, and always changing and improving.

A fantastic bookstore that is unique and a great place to sit and read a book. It’s two floors with the bottom being for children and the top for adults and teens. They usually have bargains going on and you can get some good deals sometime. There are not many bookstores like this one.

The finest bookstore in the entire South, bar none. A magnificent three-masted sailing ship among a bunch of rowboats. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and a very customer friendly (and cheaper!) special orders program for what they don't have in stock. Lexington isn't Lexington without them.

They have a great selection of books and their children's section is pretty much unparalleled in terms of book selection, educational toy options, places for the kids to play in store, and the quality of the storytime lady that holds storytime there several times a week.

I've been wanting to visit the mothership for a long time, and a book signing by my favorite New York Times Bestselling author at this location was the perfect opportunity.
Hands down the best book store I've ever been to. Joseph Beth is the way books are supposed to be sold anyway, independent and family owned, but this location has something special. My Crestview Hills store, and the Cincinnati Joseph-Beth are great, but Cathedral ceilings and multiple levels makes this book store second to none. Not even any Barnes & Nobles I've been in competes with this location.response / report this review -
