  Great experience with Johnson Automotive. Had a stuck parking brake and needed to get to work. Called before they were open and luckily Larry answered. He came out quickly apparently has a magic touch because he got the brake to release. The best part is he didn't even charge me for coming out. Would recommend this shop to anyone in the Fairbury area, and they will be my go to in the future.

  On my way through Illinois, I got a screw in my tire. Unfortunately, it was already 6 and I'm pretty sure the place was closed. However, Larry was still at the shop and kindly fixed my flat. After a string of bad luck this week, it was amazing for someone to help me out. Thank you for staying late to take care of a complete stranger when you didn't have to!

  After my brother in law had an accident late at night, we needed a tow. Johnson Automotive was able to come out very promptly and took care of business. I would recommend Johnson Automotive if your ever in a situation where you need help now.

  Excellent friendly, honest service with ample amenities! EV charging port available for a modest fee. Comfortable wait area with complimentary beverages and access to restrooms.

  We used Johnson Automotive's towing service after our vehicle went into a ditch outside of town. Very pleased with the service we received and won't hesitate to contact him again should the need arise!

  I wanted a remote start system installed on my car. Johnson Automotive was recommended by the dealer since there was no factory system available and they do not install aftermarket items on cars. I took my car there and got it installed. There was an issue he had never seen before, and his technical service had not seen. Larry figured out what the problem was and corrected it and it works fine. Not only did Larry learn something, but he was also able to educate the technical service exactly what caused the issue. While my car was there, another problem came up with my car. Larry not only figured out what the problem was, but also found that GM had issued a service bulletin on that problem, and that GM would fix it free of charge. Since the car was not drivable, Larry towed my car to the dealer right away, at no charge I might add, and the car was fixed by GM. Larry continued to call and follow up and make sure everything was good, the remote starter was working fine, and that I was satisfied with his work. I would recommend Johnson Automotive for work needed on vehicles. Larry not only promises satisfaction, but backs it up with his actions.

  I was stranded at the Limestone rest stop on I-55 near Pontiac when my ignition lock got stuck and my key wouldn't turn. I was stood up by another towing company after waiting for 2 hours (!!) and was truly feeling lost and somewhat vulnerable as a woman alone with a broken down car at a rest stop! I found Johnson Automotive via Google and made the call in a bit of a panic. Larry Johnson was so reassuring! First, he even gave me a suggestion to try in case it was just stuck and not broken. When that didn't work, he came to the rest stop with the tow truck and was both friendly and professional. I felt at ease right away! His shop in Fairbury is nice -- I got to hang out on a comfy couch, have free coffee (lots of flavors!), and chat with his mom working at the desk. Larry ordered the new part and was able to get everything fixed up super fast. The cost of the tow and repair were fair -- and quite frankly, I am so glad that he got my business as opposed to the other place. If I lived closer to Fairbury, I would definitely give Johnson Automotive all of my car maintenance and repair work. Although I wish I had visited Johnson Automotive under different circumstances, I am so glad that I found someone who is trustworthy, fair, and friendly, too! I highly recommend Johnson Automotive!
