Great coffee, local luxury. Mark is very helpful and everyone there is knowledgeable. Try the Ethiopian sidamo, buy some coffee gear. Ask to do a cupping!

So I really didn't want to leave a negative review here because my first experience with these guys was great, but I felt I needed to share. My girlfriend and I are trying to do a little 12 Coffees of Christmas thing , but finding small amounts of various coffees is tough. I knew Columbia Street had a lot of good varieties so I messaged them on facebook this morning asking if it was at all possible to purchase coffee in small (.2lb) quanitities. The person manning the FB page was quick to respond that they'd love to help me out and even suggested the amount we needed for each brew, etc. and told me to just ask the ladies at the front counter and they should be able to help me (and to show them the facebook message if needed). Awesome. I drove over on my lunch break to buy my coffee and the women working flat out told me that they don't do that, and that they didn't even have bags for that quantity, and that they didn't know who would have told me that. I wasted my lunch break to drive across town to Columbia St. Roastery because someone from the company told me they could sell me this coffee and ended up leaving empty handed. I don't think anyone at the shop was being malicious or anything, but now I've wasted my time and gas and still don't have coffee.

Best coffee. Always get off the interstate to grab their coffee. Out of the way? A little. Worth it? ALWAYS. Jamaican me crazy and Highlander mist are delicious.

Great local coffee. Black velvet is a staple, but many great blends, flavors, and single origin varieties. Their tea is also fantastic and they carry a great selection of coffee and tea accessories.

Just stopped in yesterday for the first time. Very cool little shop with a lot of coffee , tea, and gift options! I liked that you could see the roasting operation through the windows behind the counter and the variety of different coffee makers, pourovers, and other coffeemaking equipment they sell. I tried the special Pygamilion blend after seeing a facebook post from Columbia Street about it and it's amazing! Tons of options for fresh-roasted coffee too here. The friendly staff made this an even better experience.

I love this place! They have amazing coffee and friendly staff! My personal favorites are Mexico and Black Velvet. Also love the punch card rewards program (free coffee!)

Excellent freshly roasted beans, plus very knowledgeable staff eager to help people find the coffee they'll like. They have thermoses out with samples of different coffees, so I would really suggest trying those. The price is reasonable. I am not sure about the coffee being fair trade. They also have a big selection of teas, and have smaller jars of them out that you can smell.

It was okay samples and coffee would have been better if they could have pulled me a shot if they have an espresso machine I probably would have bought 10 pound.

Great locally roasted coffee at low prices. A pound of their blends and single origins is currently $11.75, while a pound of similar quality from the grocery store costs $15+. They're very friendly and happy to answer your questions about brewing methods and beans. They also sell green beans if you want to roast your own at home.

Quiet little place on Columbia Street with amazing FRESH coffee. With many blends to choose from, you may need help from the staff but they are able to help you pick out a good brew with minimal effort from you. Then you choose if you want it whole bean, ground for drip or press, they package and seal it once you order it. They also have a reward card so your 11th bag is FREE!
