Enjoying time in louisville with friends
The sign says $4 toll bridge. There is no cash to pay for it when crossing the bridge. When I got the bill in the mail, they charged me $38.00. The administrative fees are $15 each toll (one way). You are stealing my money. Shame on you!
TOLL truck 5 axles pays $12
This bridge was recently reformed into a one-way Bridge due to the fact that the Abraham Lincoln Bridge was built right next to it going in the opposite direction. As a result, there is a toll to cross these Bridges now, but it is well worth the cost for the convenience and the beautiful view..
Replaced by Lincoln Memorial Bridge in 2016. Kennedy Memorial Bridge lasted 20 years. The new Lincoln Bridge now has a toll to get on the bridge. The road are rearranged so it it hard to get anywhere. Still Lincoln Memorial is a very nice looking bridge.
Beautiful bridge connecting Kentucky and Indiana with the Ohio river running beneath.
This bridge will allow mostly safe passage across the river, but you won't feel any better for the trip. I mean, I want a bridge that makes me feel good. Sure, the paint job is rustic, and the stylized pavement takes you back to all of the glory of a WWII airstrip in the Pacific, but I want more. In my expedient trek across the bridge, I spend hours every day in reflection, often gazing out into the misty nothingness above the Ohio River. I am not filled with meaning upon such reflection, instead finding that the misty void has been mirrored inside me. I want to find purpose in my bridges, but the Kennedy always leaves me feeling empty, even though it is so full.
