Great selection and even the side dishes are really good. Great for lunch

Jim Dandy's is my favorite BBQ joint ever! Jim is in the restaurant all the time and cares more about the quality of his food and service than just making a buck. Anytime I am in the Cincinnati area it is a MUST to stop by Jim Dandy's!

My wife and I have been going here for over 5 years. In the last 2 years everything has gone into decline. The quality of the food is not what it once was, the service is laughable, and the restaurant isn’t half as clean as it once was.
The meats were, for a long time, excellent and highly consistent. Now however, you never know what you are going to get there. Sometimes good, sometimes greasy, over cooked and lukewarm. The sides are all atrocious. Usually served ice cold, watery greens, greasy Mac and cheese and stale chips.
The prices are premium but the product is cut rate.
I never minded paying their prices when the product was top quality, but now, it’s just not worth it.
The staff has gone through a ton of turnover, as all restaurants do, but many of the people who are now gone were members of the family. The people who work their now are just the worst. Apathetic, uninterested in providing any kind of quality service.
Everything in the place above eye level has half inch of dust on it. Tables are usually sticky, even when they’ve been “cleaned”.
Sauce bottles, caddys, it’s all just a mess.
We used to LOVE going here. What a shame.

Food was really good. Kinda pricey for a order-at-counter place but they do offer 5% discount for cash customers. Collard greens and potato salad was yummy!! 😋

OkWOW! Let's start with the simple stuff. The beans and rice are AMAZING! Corn bread? To DIE FOR! The brisket and pork were some of the best ever! Everything meat is wood fired here. The place smells wonderful! WAY better than other places. I didn't even try the sauces on the table until I was done eating as I love the natural flavors of the smokiness of their meats. Then I "finger tested" the sauces. The mild was great, so was the hot, but the mild would certainly sell gallons if available! I wanted to smuggle a table bottle out, but they were watching me. If I lived here, I would be here 3 times per week at least!

Great BBQ plain and simple. Not to mention, some collaborative Colonel De Rubs and Spice Blends are available here, the chicken rub is delicious. I've had the brisket, pulled pork, and most of the sides, I don't think you can go wrong here. Check out Jim Dandy's!!

Ordered pulled pork sandwich platter at counter. Service was very friendly. Pork had a good smoke flavor. Mac n cheese, slaw and cornbread were all good. I will go back.

First time visit, half chicken was moist and meaty and smokey. Service was great, Reilly was helpful and nice. I will be back for ribs!

Wow. This is good food. Walked in to the smell of wood barbeque - so good. Had the full rack of baby back ribs. Parking lot was empty, but food was amazing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. :-)

I've been going here for lunch occasionally for years. The meat itself is pretty good. One of the smokier BBQ tastes around.

The bun they use for sandwiches is awful. Gets soggy and falls apart. The sides are pretty terrible as well. The sauces are pretty good.

I went today to get some through the drive through. I didn't get asked if I wanted any sauce and had assumed it was already in the container when I left. Got back to work and saw that there was only a small amount of sauce poured on the meat and no sides of it. Called them and asked if I could get some form of compensation for the hassle (drove 20 minutes on my lunch break for it and the sauce is a big part of BBQ for me) and they said they couldn't do anything about it.

Service has always been pretty bad and this latest incident of having to eat sauce-less BBQ and basically being told "not our problem" kind of seals the deal for me. I already was getting tired of feeling nickel-and-dimed to get a full meal each time I went. I won't be going back. It's not special enough to warrant returning when they aren't willing to make sure their customers are satisfied.

Everytime I'm in the Sharonville area which is very rare I go to get barbecue. The best thing I like there is there brisket combo platter . With 2 sides and cornbread. The order I did was a to-go order that's why it's in a to-go Order Box. I give it 4 stars the flavor is great and the sides are also excellent. Ken

Must of went on a bad night. Collard greens and green beans were inedible, Cole slaw had no slaw and was dry as paper. Corn bread was dry on top and soggy on the bottom. No real flavor for the sauces and no amount of sauce could cover up the aged chicken that must of been cured in smoked grease. Mac was awesome and baked beans were great. My brisket was chewy like jerky and it almost choke me out. Shout out to the awesome staff member that was bussing tables and was the only real friendly, hard working, awesome person there.
