I recently visited with my family, and we greatly enjoyed our meal. We came around 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Everything was fresh and delicious, and I'm so glad we found this restaurant. Also, service was great. I think the owner should be aware of some things though. The salt and pepper shakers were gunky and it seems like they haven't been wiped off in a while. Also the men's bathroom was a mess along with dim/broken light fixtures and missing bulbs. Lastly, the sugar caddies were sticky from tea being spilt on them. First impressions are everything, and my first impression started off bad, but ended well.

Saw signs from the expressway for this place, it's so delicious. I had the MOJO pork. Everything on my plate was delicious. Those black beans had okra in them and I loved it, I never eat black beans. I highly recommend this place if you want Cuban food. Everything is around the ten dollar mark.

We were disappointed to say the least. As a prior reviewer said, the good was not very Cuban. I ordered a steak sandwich and it was like eating beef jerky. The meat was overcooked and dry. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich and it was a bunch of shredded pink with some pickles in it. The bread was not grilled. The tostones were good but the sauce (which is traditionally a garlic and olive oil sauce) was just some bottled lemon juice. The salad was good and the waitress was nice. Definitely not a place to go back to.

Lovely little place to grab a bite. Good atmosphere. Delicious food. VERY reasonable cost.
One of the few places I have been where portion sizes are adequate for the price. My girlfriend and I ate here on our way back from vacation, and we both got full for under $25 (including tax!) Two meals and coffee and tea.
Next time we're passing through Florida, we will be stopping here.response / report this review -

I Was driving on I-75 and started to get hungry. So I started reading the reviews for all the different reastaurants nearby. As I was reading the reviews I saw the billboard for Jessica's Bistro. So I decided to stop in. Man am I Happy I did! I had the Cuban sandwich and it was to die for! The staff here was very polite and the restaurant was super clean. It's without a doubt going to be one of my go 2 stops when I pass through.

Very nice place. Food was absolutely amazing. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Really wish they were on the Main Street so they would get more exposure. The Cuban sandwich I had was second to none. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I'd definitely visit here again.

Came here for lunch. Wait staff is great- very kind. However, this place boasts authentic Cuban cuisine but hardly anything on the menu reflects this. I had to forcefully ask for white rice and beans because that wasn't even on the menu. The taste of food was alright- Although some might say it's Lake City, I've tasted better for the price. Had steak with white rice and beans as well as a "Cuban"-styled sandwich.

I was in Lake City for work and someone suggested Jessica's for lunch. Very prompt service and the food was delicious. I had the steak sandwich on Cuban bread. I will definitely be coming back.

We were lucky to find Jessica's today for a late lunch. We ordered the two cuban lunch specials and were very impressed!! Every bite of our lunch was incredibly deliciouswe will be back whenever we travel to this area

Traveling on I-75 and decided to look for a non-chain restaurant in Lake City. Checked Google and saw the good reviews, we then asked the hotel front desk and it was on their list as well. We couldn't have been happier with our decision! It was a quiet Thursday night, they said lunch is much busier during the week. We enjoyed the food a lot, had a chicken quesadilla and the summer salad. The salsa for the quesadilla was AMAZING, different from anything I've had. The salad was fresh and flavorful! Hope we are back through Lake City soon!!

Jessica's Bistro is a really great to stop by if your passing through. The food is very good and tasty. We ordered French onion soup and the veggie pasta with marinara. A few thing: 1. while it was clean, the furniture is old and the overall feel of the place I think could use the talent of a good decorator, in other words - it needs an update. 2. The mashed potatoes were a bit thick and over whipped. 3. The servers are super nice and the food was quick, but they could use a bit more professional training.
Overall a great place to stop and eat, I just feel it has a ton of potential to be much more successful.response / report this review
