I loved it when this place sold things for around the house, such as candles, furniture, and other little things. The place inside is only Orioles and Ravens things now, which I am not a fan of whatsoever. I can understand getting rid of the animal heads they had above the entrances, but not what they were known for altogether. They do have nice plants however, but that is the only good thing there unless you love sports.

I went to poor boys today to pick up a few things. My daughter in law was helped by a friend who did a benefit in her honor. She couldn't afford to buy all of her books for college as she was already in deep debt from her student loans. She is now paying it forward and will be having a benefit to fund other students needing help buying books for college.
As we were looking we came across a item with no price. The owner came out while I was explaining to the cashier that these things were for a benefit. The Owner graciously volunteered things to help.

Beware of warranty if you have to use it.

Just tried to get warranty support for a stove they sold as a dealer and was told they do not do stoves any more. Seems they were very happy to sell the stove but not willing to stand behind the warranty.

Great supply for Pellet stoves. I always trust their advice, and purchase all my product from this store. I think their stove prices are a bit high.

My experience with Poor Boys Garden & Hearth has not been good. I regretfully can't recommend this garden center. It is a source of plants, and I will probably give them another chance in the very far future, but no time soon. This is a garden center that could be great, but regretfully is not managing its young people properly. The owners are very nice people, but the staff gives incorrect information over the phone, and seems disinterested in helping when you arrive. Until these issues are addressed by management, save your time and money.
