Dr. Calvert is more than just an amazing physician, he's an artist. I was more than just a patient, I was treated as an individual with unique requirements - I was never a number.
The evening before surgery, Dr. Calvert called to make sure I was OK and if there were any last minute questions. When was the last time a doctor called you during off duty hours to make sure you were OK? That same evening I was called the the anesthetist who spent about an hour discussing the procedure and my particular requirements.
I have never felt more secure and confident I was in the best hands possible for a surgery that was highly personal.
It's a great time to join run for a cure. Best wishes to your family and your son with his chemo therapy. With you're help and support he'll be "out of the woods". You're doing great work. Keep up the good fight.
Dr. Jay Calvert MD is in my opinion the top revision Rhinoplasty surgeon, and he is truly one of the kindest Dr.'s I have ever consulted. He is very special and extremely compassionate. I've seen many of his patient's results, and all I can say is that I initially went to his office for a spa treatment, and after seeing the fabulous results of his surgical skills. I switched my choice of surgeons over to him. He is probably one of the most honest physicians.
When I was looking for a good doctor i asked my insurance to give me a few names. Doctors which have a good reputation and who already have a well known name. One of the recommendations was Jay Calvert MD in LA. 3 consultations with him convinced me that he will be my Revision Rhinoplasty surgeon.
Awesome Surgeon and Humanitarian. My experience with Dr. Jay Calvert has been the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a Surgeon and Doctor. I had a disease on my nose that left my mose is such a state that I pretty much refused to go outside in public due to the stares of people, adults and children alike. My PCP did nothing for me except to have me on anti-biotics for about 6 years. That did not help, nose just kept growing and getting more infection by the week. I searched the internet looking for a doctor that could be of help. I choose a plastic surgeon, kept the appointment/consultation only to be told that he himself could not help me. He did inform me of a plastic surgeon that could however help me as he was the best nose doctor that he knew of. He advised me to go see Dr. Jay Calvert. Dr. Calvert is not his business partner either. I thought that this was a pretty good recommendation as he could have said he could help me and taken the money for it. I made an appointment with Dr. Jay Calvert. When the consultation time came I could not have been more pleased with the consultation. I left there with Dr. Calvert saying "When do you want to get this off of your nose?". I arranged for the surgeries (3 of them) and today I am more than pleased with my appearance. I can go out in public and feel good about myself. When my nose surgeries were over I took some further advice from him and had WLS. I an now to my goal weight and I have had some cosmetic surgeries done to feel better about myself after the weight loss surgery. Dr. Calvert and his staff have been so much more than I could have ever hoped for in their care and expertise. The aftercare was perfect and sure made the recovery process great. Dr. Calvert is a great humanitarian as he works with our veterans one day a week in helping them with their issues after they have dedicated their time for our country. I have never felt rushed at an appointment. His staff and he will take as much time as you need to feel comfortable with the process. His goal is to do what you want for your life. He believes that you are the definer of your own beauty. It was a true blessing in my life the day that I was advised as to who to go see to help me. My life truly is better and so much different because of Dr. Jay Calvert.
