The place is cozy and the music is always on point. It gets 3 stars since it closes way too early for a coffee shop!
Sometimes when it gets crowded you might have to wait a bit to get your order. Best advice: Never get the almond flavored coffee!response / report this review -

Get my coffee here most mornings. $2 for a large and 50 cent refills. The flavored coffee option changes every day through the week , highlander fog is really really good! It's gets busy close to 8am, 930-10am, and 12-1pm.

I've been going here for years, they've made many great improvements to the venue and menu. Food takes a little longer than desired, drinks are good though (Italian sodas especially - just make sure to request light ice). I'd love to see some local musicians start playing there again!

Not sure how I feel about this yet, the woman working the next time was pretty rude and made a point of correcting me on how I ordered my drink like the reverse of the Starbucks cliche. They do have good prices and the guy working the first time I came was really nice. I was going to make this my morning routine but I'm not quite sure.

My favorite little downtown coffee shop complete with best food choices in the city. Can't go wrong here, plenty of options and friendly service. The place is small but cool and cozy. Parking can be tricky and one ways make for a challenge. Best to make time during a down time and relax with a BBQ Chicken Wrap tuned with caffeine beverage.

Hands down best coffee house around. Been coming here for years and love it. New owners/management are awesome!!! They've stepped up something that was already doing well and it's a great place. The atmosphere, decor and clientele is on point. So comfortable.

Good coffee, good food, friendly staff, and a community-minded owner. Java Roaster is the total package. They have delicious lunch specials, and you can get a giant iced coffee for a very reasonable price. Java Roaster is my go-to place for coffee and a nosh.

This is my favorite coffee house in the West Laf/Lafayette area. I've been coming here for years and have finished countless hours of homework at this place. That said, I enjoy Java for the atmosphere. Everything else is good as well. My parents, when they visited, always enjoyed the blueberry coffee cake. It's also a good spot for a date!

A great alternative to Starbucks. Their coffee is high quality, and cheaper than other coffee chains. The page has a very relaxed atmosphere which is great for studying, reading, or light conversation.

Amazing atomosphere. The food is astounding and insanely cheap for how awesome it is. The staff is super friendly and down to Earth. I've been eating here for the past week now and it is always fresh as can be. Also the music played inside is always really good jams.
