My mom was in town visiting and came in on a Friday afternoon. Rustic, charming and relax ambiance.

The amount of food you receive is overwhelming. I was not expecting such large portions.

We ordered the Shrimp & Grits, Western Omelette and the Chicken & Package. Everything was rich and flavorful. No one was able to finish there plate.

I recommend this place if you have a hankering for soul food. The homemade biscuits are a little piece of heaven. Will visit again.

Large portion sizes, yummy pickles and good beer. There is always a wait and the bar is packed. They do not take reservations but they do offer the "text when your table is ready" service so you're free to leave. There's a lot to do in the area while you wait including a few bars and the food is worth the wait. Expect to have enough to take home. Everything I've had there is phenomenol but specifically, the buffalo mac and cheese is delish. :)

Southern BLT, a life changing experience. The fried chicken was the juiciest I have ever had. The slaw and fried green tomatoes were fantastic. The biscuit was amazing. The cheese grits are worthy of an award. Wife and I split it and had more food than we could ask for. We ordered a side of fries that were delicious but we weren't aware that it could feed a small village. They were served in a wheelbarrow sized bowl. Will dream about this place for a while.

First things first, this place is very much worth the wait.

Put your name of the list and head to neighboring bar close by to enjoy a drink until they text you.

The cheesy grits are amazing. Their biscuits and friend chicken are perfectly done.

The dill pickles and sour pickles were delicious.

    Can't wait to go back.

After being told that our table would be a half hour wait, we decided to try this supposedly kid friendly restaurant. What a disaster! An hour and a half later we were finally seated, an hour and 40 minutes after arriving we received our water and our order was finally taken. Meanwhile the two children ages 5 & 7 were having a meltdown! I'm sure the food will be good but this was an awful way to treat a family when the restaurant is listed as one of the best places to take kids. We could have gone somewhere else if they had been honest about the wait time!
