Main entrance host communication could use a little work (acknowledgement, listening, eye contact) but overall;

If you're coming to keens, you must think highly of yourself, because you're treating yourself very well!

We ate in the bull moose room, a more private setting, but would've been equally happy in the livelier Lincoln room.

I had the filet as my main(which I normally don't get as I believe there is just as much flavor to be had in a sirloin) and I was not disappointed. Clams Rockefeller were also a solid appetizer choice.

Something I found odd was that their steak knives were serrated. If I'm ordering a $50+ piece of meat, I really don't want to hack at it with a serrated knife, letting the juice dump onto the plate.Straight edge knives instead please!

Steak was great. Sides were great. The history of the establishment is worth going in itself. Very relaxing environment. The wait staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions. They seemed to like telling the history of the place as well.

I've been here before for dinner in the past, but recently stopped by for lunch. There was about a short 10 minute wait without a reservation. They actually have quite an extensive lunch special menu at affordable prices. I opted for the 8oz Prime Sliced Sirloin Steak ($31), which comes with a side of fries. It was very tender and full of flavor. Service was also great. Sadly, I was too full to try the desserts! Overall, my experience was spectacular and I'll definitely be back!

Always have great service, I've tried a large assortment of their food over the years and loved it. All the staff that have waited on me are great and very helpful. All the managers that I see do an excellent job. Maybe that's why I go there for not just special occasions. You gotta love this place!!!!

Very good food. Was traveling in the city so had a backpack a Columbia jacket and jeans on. Mind you I am a fairly successful young guy. But never one did I feel out of place. I'd expect to be looked down on because I wasn't wearing a sports jacket and slacks. Food was amazing. Service was top notch. $260 later. I am a very happy man.

Porterhouse steak for two medium rare Yes please. The dry aged meat makes it taste even better. The bacon was very good and the potatoes were excellent though I wish the bread wasn't so hard. Service was fantastic in the bar area too. A must try for steak lovers with so much history attached.

Outstanding prime rib. The Kings cut is ridiculous the size of a family roast! Share it with your partner/date and still be stuffed! Service is excellent. History is unique. Prices are steep.

I love the bacon and the prime rib. Those were my top two favorites when I went there with friends from a dinner group. We also had the mutton chops and the Chateaubriand. Those were okay. The service was very attentive. I would go back just for the prime rib and bacon and try different entrees on the menu.

Any carnivore is going to love the mutton chop. Besides the history at this classic smoke house the meat is wonderful. Also had the New York sirloin which was well aged and cooked. Everything juicy and flavorful. Old building and its history is worth the visit. Not about the service here its about the meat!

I left the restaurant very underwhelmed and disappointed. The tables are so close together that they physically have to pull the table out so you can exit your seat. You are closer to the person sitting at the table next to you than the person at your own table. This makes the experience not at all intimate or special. I was very disappointed that I came to this establishment dressed for a really nice night out, but upon walking in, I noticed people
in jeans, t-shirts, etc. By allowing partrons to dine here dressed so casual, it takes away from the experience and the atmosphere. The restaurant itself appears to be decorated well and it sets the tone for a nice, intimate dinner, but past the decor, the experience was not at all what I was hoping for. The level of service is not what I expected for the amount of money that was actually spent. Somewhere around $300 for two people. It fell short. I would not return here. I visited the Old Homestead a day or so after coming to Keen's and had a much better dining experience and would hands down recommend it over Keen's. It was all just fine and I was looking for spectacular.

Worth it. Worth it. Worth it.

Prime Rib was amazing. I get it, you're not eating here everyday, it's expensive. But this was affordable. It's $50-70 for a steak. Again, events or occasions. This is great. It's closed and dark, it makes you feel a million miles from the city. It's historic and the food and drinks are outrageous. Some of the best in the country outside of the Chicago Chop House (steaks there are $80-100)

I have eaten here many times, several were excellent, more than half have been disappointing.

Most recently, I ordered this prime rib medium rare. It came out medium+ with clotted blood which means that it had been sitting around for a long time. It also had a sad looking pepper on the plate to really put an exclamation point on the lack of care taken in preparation of this meal. I told the waiter that the prime rib looked a little more done than medium rare. He suggested that since it was the end piece that it was supposed to be over medium.

I didn't want to be a bother, so I ate half of my chalky prime rib, discarding the rest. I tasted, then discarded the pepper (I normally love peppers of all types, but this one tasted worse than it looked) paid for my meal ~$100 just for me, and left. There's a high probability that I won't return after this disappointment.

It's not a cheap restaurant, they should have higher standards, perhaps someone checking the food before it is served, obviously the waitstaff does not. This was below the quality you should expect from this restaurant.

My favorite steakhouse in NYC. Great steaks and great service, without the attitude that many steakhouse restaurants tend to have. I'm not a huge steak (and even less steakhouse) fan, but I am always happy to eat here when I get s chance. Order the porterhouse!

Keens service and food was amazing. We arrived late to our lunch reservations so we were unable to sit in the dining room, but the pub seating felt even more historic with all of the pipes hanging from the ceiling. Our server was helpful and gave us information about the history of the restaurant as well as great recommendations on the food. The Porterhouse for two fed three of us with a few slices remaining. Yummiest steak ever.

My husband and I had dinner here on a Friday night with reservations. The prices are high but are well worth the portions you receive. He had the prime rib and I had the filet and both were absolutely delicious! The sides are big enough to share if you want. Great service and great atmosphere. Will definitely make this a priority when we are back in NYC.
