Nice place to eat. Food was great, cooked perfectly. The service was super great. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others.

I used to enjoy going to js a few times a week and never had a problem and the food was great! My first experience we had a mix up in tabs! The charge was refunded and paid for the correct tab! No problem! The last time I went to js the bartender missed placed my card. She searched for a extended period of time. I emptied my wallet on the bar and it was not in my wallet or in my pockets. The bartender then suggested that I previously asked for my card back to get money out of the ATM which could not happen because I was using a credit card with no pin associated. I was not upset with this problem and continued to talk to my group about other things. I turned around as she was walking back to the bar and finally there sat my credit card right by the register she continued to say that I was lying and I had my credit card the whole time. I asked her to view the cameras due to myself wanting to know where my credit card was the whole time so that I knew if my card information was stolen. She continued to say it was in my possession. The situation became hostile so I charged my tab to my card and left the property. I called and requested the owner to review the cameras and I was told he was on vacation and I would get a call the following week. It was been approximately two weeks and still have not received any further information. This has concluded my future business at js along with the regular people I usually take with me. Js does not care about loyal repeat customers and lacks in customer service!

For every point in their favor, there was a downside. Downside: We had to wait so long for anyone to even approach us to take our order that we were about ready to walk out. Upside: The bartender noticed our wait time and bought us a round. Downside: The chicken wings were bland and tasteless. Upside: The Guinness was cold and refreshing.
They do have one thing that was special enough to earn a mention. A special "Bourbon Ale" beer that is about 8% alcohol, and tastes like caramel. It was pretty good.
If country bars are your scene, check this place out. If not, there are better places in the area.
One last item of note: Our waitress was incredibly pushy about handing over my credit card and starting a tab, which I did not want to do, so when I told her that I would just get the check at the end of the meal she told me that "If you try to run out on the check, I will hunt you down and cut your b*lls off." Suffice it to say that even though I sympathize with the fact that skipping out on the check would come out of her pay, which would make anyone defensive, I do not appreciate being threatened with castration. This is the biggest reason for such a harsh rating.response / report this review -

Rowdy scene/music is deafeningly loud, staff are rude, grossly inappropriate, and threatened my partner. Pool tables are almost all in the smoking section, which reeks. Open later than anywhere else in St. Mary's; food is mediocre if you ever get it.

I I liked the food a lot! What did not impress me was the lack of staff at 7 o'clock on a Saturday. Also my friend ordered nachos and the rest of us got Burgers, her nachos did not come out the entire time we were there. I went up to register to pay (because the bartender was the only one working), and had to ask him to talk to the kitchen about sending out my friend's nachos. The guy behind the bar was really nice. I wasn't overly impressed with his apologies though, since the least he could have done was give my friend a free meal. Also, they had no good beers on tap the only ones not broken or out were the ipa's, and who wants that?

Great food! Shrimp and grits were awesome! The pork wings are amazing! Watching football with a great crowd! Last week the band was so good! Come out for fun and food! Diverse crowd that all gets along!
