  I had visited 5 different jewelers when looking for an engagement ring. I didn't have much luck until I went to J Kamin. I found a picture online of a ring I wanted to replicate and brought it in to Jay. I had a really short timeline, but he was able to get it custom built and in my hands within a week. She loved the ring and we're very happy with the purchase. Ever since my initial visit, Jay has greeted me by name as I come into the store. That kind of service and caring really stands out to me.

  We are new to the area. I needed to have some work done and took a chance on J Kamin Jewelers because of the website and the reviews. So glad I did! I was impressed by Jay and what I felt was an honest assessment of the repairs that needed to be done. I was more than pleased with my "new" rings when I went to pick them up! They never looked this good! I'll be back!

  I first went to J Kamin Jewelers just to get my watch clasp repaired. From the moment I walked in, they were just wonderful; So pleasant and professional! I bought a beautiful estate diamond ring for a great price and knew I’d be back. For our wedding anniversary, my husband wanted to get me something special. I walked in to J Kamin again, not really knowing what I wanted. They made a suggestion and OH, what a suggestion it was! I got a beautiful, custom made ring that is truly a one of a kind! I am very beyond pleased with the stone, the design, the craftsmanship, and especially the end result! I highly recommend visiting J Kamin for ALL your jewelry needs! J Kamin is a local independent jeweler that really cares, and knows you by name, not some big ‘chain’ jeweler where you are just a nameless customer. Wish I could upload a picture!

  I just had my grandmother's vintage wedding ring restored and it turned out better then I imagined it would! The staff is so friendly and the service is excellent! Thank you J. Kamin!

  First time experience with work done by Jay. I requested a bale to be added to an old pendant, plus a purchase of a new chain. The staff is very coutreous and helpful! Jay is knowledge, diligent and his workmanship was done well.

  We've dealt with Jay since he was in the second floor of the Fairview shopping center 30+ years ago. We've bought both new and estate jewelry from him and have been very please with both the price and his level of professionalism. We just purchased jewelry to mark our 40th anniversary.

  I have a very nice watch that has great sentimental value to me that had a small screw come loose inside the watch. No other local jewelers would attempt to even try to help me get it fixed. I brought the the watch to Jay Kamin at his small (but very nice) shop just off of Mulford road and he was able to have the watch fixed for a very reasonable cost. It now works fine and I must say I'm very impressed with his professionalism and how he operates his establishment. I would recommend J.Kamin Jewelers to anyone who wants a watch repaired or is looking for some very nice new watches. This place is the probably one of the last Jewelers in Rockford that actually cares about their customers and does everything they can to help. My personal thanks goes out to him for a job well done,
