Great food, attentive an friendly wait staff and old time atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful family Christmas memory. Merry Christmas to everyone at the Island Hotel and Restaurant especially Dawn our waitress.

Amazing hotel in Cedar Key! The food was delicious both for dinner and breakfast, be sure to try the French toast. All the staff was very accommodating and I will certainly be back!

This is a beautuful and unique, 10 room historic hotel in tranquil Cedar Key, Florida (2 hours North of Tampa!) A MUST SEE in your "out of the way" travels along the North Gulf shores below the Swanee River.

A great old hotel the owners go out of their way to see to it that you have a good time the whole staff was very friendly. We had a great stay.

Always a delicious meal. Always. When we eat here we always feel like our food was prepared by a chef! Recently had a soup I can't remember the name of, so I'll describe it as fish minestrone. Sounds wierd, but tasted great! Great ambiance.

This a very nice, historic hotel. a little on the pricey side but the wife and I enjoy staying here for the old island atmosphere. The attached restaurant is pretty good to but again a bit expensive. A walk down the street to Tony's seafood gets you a better meal for less $ and the very best clam chowder!

I've stayed here 4 times over the past several years and I've always gad a pleasant visit. The accommodations are very nice and the people are wonderful. It's a Small Town kind of place. I highly recommend it.

I wish I could leave two separate reviews. The waitress our first night was absolutely wonderful. All of the food was pretty good (albeit overpriced), aside from the ahi poke appetizer which was not good at all. It was obviously on special because it was going bad and they needed to get rid of it. The next night a group of 8 of us came to the bar for drinks. I guess I can't really weigh in on the drinks since we didn't get service. My group offered to come in 2 at a time as it is a small bar. As a bartender myself I am extremely patient. However, as soon as the female bartender heard we had a big group she walked away calling us, "Jerks." No order was placed. We were not belligerent or demanding, but simply because we decided to visit this bar we were obviously not welcome.

This hotel is a must see if your going to Cedar Key. It was built in 1859 and still retains it's old world charm. The rooms are each uniquely furnished in a nostalgic romantic decor. There is an outside courtyard with several whimsical sculptures and assorted art. The staff are very pleasant and breakfast is included.

The mahi was tough to eat, the salad was good, the waitress service was mediocre, and for an expensive dinner for two I was not that impressed.

The dining experience is the finest in town. The bar/lounge is also cool but totally different. It feels like a step back into the 1800's. Highly recommend visiting both areas on different nights or while you wait for a table.

Father and I stayed in Room 29 for a night on our way back from an airshow in Lakeland, Florida. The service was excellent. The owners were always present from the front desk to washing dishes in the kitchen. You could tell that they put their heart into this hotel. The rooms were clean and had a rustic feel. There is plenty to eat around the town.
For those flying in, the runway there is short (2300 feet) but decently wide. Plan accordingly and give the hotel a call. They'll call the only cab driver in the town and it'll cost about $20 each way. Or bring a bike and ride to the hotel, since the whole town is pretty close.

Simply amazing. The food is fresh, perfectly prepared, and delicious. The atmosphere is true old Florida. The staff provide service to rival any big city 5 star establishment.
