This is the highlight of our trip to Treasure Island near Tampa Bay. We have gone back twice, and the trip never fails to delight. There are boring shuttles, of course, to Egmont Key, where you can see the old fort and hunt for shells. But Island Boat Adventures is more than a shuttle. You start by chasing dolphins, get to feed seagulls who follow the boat, stop to snorkel in shallow water, get out to explore Egmont Key, and even get to go to a large sand bar they call "no rules island". Of course, the exact itinerary will change depending on weather conditions. We didn't get to snorkel on our first trip due to the cloudy water. But the guys who run this boat seem to truly be having fun. They are patient with the kids and make sure to point out sea life as we found it (even hopped off the boat to retrieve a giant lightning whelk). The whole thing is an incredible value for your money, and the operators are genuinely just great hosts. I cannot recommend this adventure highly enough for your next trip - my kids say it is the best part of their vacation.

We had a great day yesterday on the Calypso Cat. The crew was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Eric shared interesting facts about the history of the area. Egmont Key is a treasure. Such a nice way to enjoy Tampa Bay. And the bonus was all the dolphins we saw. They came close to the boat and performed for us. You don’t want to miss this little adventure.

Had a great time with Captain Vinnie & crew. Snorkeling was awesome, we seen around 15-20 dolphins. We also saw other native Florida wildlife like turtles, starfish, baby octopus and some others. Nice clean boat, I would highly recommend this company. It was the most reasonably priced out of the other 4 I researched. Check out there trip advisor page they are rated #1!!! 🐬

These guys are great. They were very friendly. Informative, they showed the kids different sea creatures and let them touch them.
Captain let several kids drive the boat, put little captain hats on them for parents to get pictures.
Took us to 2 different locations , the time on the boat was relaxing and not rushed. Very good experience.

The whole family loved it! Snorkeling with the fish and finding shells and wildlife was awesome. The views and weather was amazing. And we saw dolphins and a sea turtle along the way. The captain was so nice to my 5 year old Zack and let him drive the boat and play co-captain. I LOVED that they were so kid friendly. It made it so fun for my little one and he said it was the coolest thing he had ever done!
The co-captain also made the trip back fun by feeding the seagulls cheetos out of his hand and both my son and daughter did that too, as well as some others. We hit some pretty big waves on the way back which was fun in its own way too- splash splash on board. The kids also enjoyed exploring the old fort as well. Over all, it was a great trip! Perfect amount of time to be on an excursion 2-6 pm, although I could have stayed all day! I would definitely recommend this trip and do it again

This was our second year using this boat tour. We loved it so much the first time that we came back with friends. Love the adventure and the crew members customer service. Great personalities for the job. The trip is definitely worth every dollar.

Awesome day! Very knowledgeable captains (Vinny and Eric) and very fun. We felt safe and they gave great instruction. We saw many dolphins and the island was awesome. The remains at the island are quite a site. The turtles are fun, the osprey are amazing plus the fish were pretty cool, too! Easy booking and probably the best prices in the area.

I recommend this for anyone visiting the area. It's great for all ages. On our tour there were some kids, teens and adults. It was a variety and everyone enjoyed themselves. The crew was great, couldn't ask for better service.

This was an awesome experience. From the snorkeling to watching the dolphins; it was tons of fun! The boat was nice and clean and the captains were very knowledgeable, which made for an even better experience. I would highly recommend this for a couple or a family!

I can't say enough about this trip. My whole family loved that Captains Vinnie and John were so knowledgeable about the animals we saw and knew just how to find them without disturbing them. I loved that Captain Vinnie knew how to play with the dolphins and give them a wake to jump waves. They helped seasoned and novice snorkelers and made the trip enjoyable for all. Everything from the timing to the music shows that these guys are pros. You will not regret booking this trip, it is worth every penny!!

Was a great experience! The crew on the boat made sure everyone had a great time. We saw dolphins and snorkeled. They were helpful and when they knew it was going to be windy on the way back they went the least windy way to keep everyone comfortable. They were friendly, entertaining and safe. Our family loved it!
