This was a great experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The new boat we were on was fantastic - fast and smoothe. If you are looking for a good senic cruise, I would definetly recommend this group!
We had the best time watching whales on our Anacortes tour in November! The guys running it are very professional, knowledgeable and simply fun, the boat is huge and very comfortable, we saw a lot of killer whales and had great food and drinks on board - we really couldn't wish for a better experience.
Island Adventures offered us a great experience for us. We drove up from Seattle to Anacortes for this tour and rode their newer boat (Island Explorer 5). The boat is really nice and offers a smooth ride with many seating/viewing options both inside and out. We saw both Orca and Humpback whales on our tour. The staff was very knowledgeable and definitely there to make sure everyone had a good time. I would go on this tour again and recommend to a friend or family member.
Loved it! It is not a big ship, so thats nice. Every person had plenty of room to see the whales. Staff was very kind and informative. Book it!
The Island Adventures whale watching trip was great. Not being a fan of the open water, I was hesitant to go and am glad I did. Their new boat has a great, smooth ride; comfortable inside seating and very cool screens to show where you are and where you are going. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable while their enthusiasm was infectious. We did see multiple whales and had a great trip. I strongly recommend them if you are seeking a great watch.
We had an amazing time with Island Adventures. The new boat was amazing and very comfortable. We stayed up on the 3rd deck and had a blast! We would recommend Island Adventures to anyone looking for a great whale watching experience.
They are professional and entertaining! The staff knows lots about the area being explored, and we got to experience Orcas in their natural habitat! Would love to go again. Make sure to take more than what you think you will need clothing wise. We encountered some storms, but it was worth it!
We had a really great time today on the boat out of Anacortes. Headed south and found the transient whales. These guys are extremely enthusiastic about the whales and wildlife, and totally psyched about their new boat. I was a bit apprehensive about how big the boat was - it is a huge 3 deck catamaran, however, the size meant that the 150+ people on board all had railing views. Nothing like being a tourist in your own back yard.
Recommended - beautiful views and crew keeps trip interesting by pointing out different types of wildlife. Our guide, Erin, was excellent. They are determined to find whales and have a 98% success rate. All trips are different and they update a map onboard showing their route and locations of sightings.
Wonderful trip! We got very lucky and had an orca approach our boat which was fantastic. The crew was very knowledgeable and fun. Food was much tastier than I was expecting. I'm so glad we went!
This was a fun experience! The crew are knowledgeable and friendly. The highlight of the day was seeing the Humpback whale! Though seeing all of the marine life was great.
I took my family Whale Watching through Island Adventures on Sunday 5/7 for an early Mother’s Day gift. We left out of Everett and they took us out around Hat Island. It was such a beautiful day and we ended up seeing whales! The entire Island Adventures staff has the flow of the three hour Whale Watching tour organized and ran perfectly. We had such an amazing time!
The staff were amazing, but if you expect to see any type of whale up close and personal, don't bother going to any whale watching cruise in WA; you have a better chance in sea world. I expected to of the whales, but they were really far away and not really worth the almost $300 on family of four for just a ride on a boat. I can do this on the Ferry for WAY less and have a better time going to other activities with family. Unfortunately, these trips are based on luck really. You are gambling when you go on these trips, you hit the jackpot if you see whales jump out of the water or get close. Do not expect to see that, because you will be disappointed when you don't. Save your money for other fun activities in WA.
