Food and service was great! We were there for a wedding reception and they did such a great job
Was looking for a place for my wedding. I felt that the person doing the showings was a little snooty and didn't really want our business. The venue is beautiful. However the hard wood floors they sell really hard are scrathed with deep scratches.
This hotel is really nice - the rooms have a wide variety of shapes and sizes, but the larger ones are wonderful. There's a fireplace that's open on both the bed side and the seating side, and a tv on each side as well. The bathrooms are huge, and mine had a large rain-style shower which was very relaxing. Room service for breakfast is extremely easy to do, and the staff are always friendly. The windows have regular shades but also blackout shades, which is a must if you're a dark room sleeper like me!
The hotel is dog friendly.
The only downsides are that the lobby smells very strongly of some kind of cologne-like smell, and the steakhouse restaurant/bar can get kind of loud on the weekend nights if your room is directly above it.
Surprised at how nice this place was. Rooms are great. Dinner and bar were also very good. Service was excellent all around.
I really love the rooms. They're done in a very cozy fashion with lots of space. The staff is amazingly friendly. My only complaint is the extraordinary really slow elevator.
Accommodations are comfortable--plush even. It feels like a home away from home. The ambience is industrial and modern, yet cozy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Amenities are plentiful and in-room snacks/drinks are fairly priced. The in-room fireplace and rub were the highlights of the comforts and well worth a stay. The hotel is a short walk from downtown Beloit, making it easy to grab some outside food or treats. The river is adjacent to the hotel and offers a calm, serene place to take a walk.
Fantastic hotel in a quaint downtown area. The rooms are wonderfully furnished and the rain showerheads in the lavish bathrooms are great. Highly recommended!
Atmosphere, ambiance, historyunique experience I enjoy 2x/yr passing thru area. Intentionally plan itinerary to include this hotel. Restaurant is exceptional! Great staff.
We stayed here on our honeymoon and again on that anniversary of. It is a beautiful mix of industrial and and class. We are always treated great. We even had a gift bag. Thank you.
We loved this hotel & it's decorations. When we booked we didn't realize there was a river view or we would have asked for that. The fireplace that can be seen from tub is a great feature. The only downfall is the banquet hall was directly under our room & they were having a wedding that was quite noisy. By about 11pm the wedding was over, but the restaurant (also downstairs) was just getting started. If you have small children who need to get to bed early ask for a room farther upstairs to avoid the noise or just don't stay here on the weekend.
Wow have lived in the area and never been here until now for a wedding and what a great place! Friendly staff, awesome rooms and the perfect place for a wedding. Not to mention cute bartender girls! Lol. 5 star place.
Some of the most beautiful and interesting rooms I've had the pleasure of staying in - Fireplaces, bathtubs, comfortable beds and a view out onto the river. The bar/restaurant is beautiful and full of history, with hundreds of pictures covering the walls. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would love to go back again!
Booked this hotel for a family event we had to attend. The interior was nice, but our room was rather dirty. There were dirty clothes still in the room from someones previous stay, french fries on the ground under the bed that my son found and hair in the bathroom. We did request a fridge for my sons medical needs and when we opened it there was mold inside. They also fill the room with minibar items such as snacks and water that is easily accessible for kids. Thankfully we caught it in time and hid all of the items in the closet. We called the front desk to let them know and they said they would note our account - but ended up charging us for minibar items we never took. Called and they said they would refund them, but they only gave us a partial refund? The staff itself wasn't very pleasant when checking in and the elevator kept shutting off through our whole stay. There was only one elevator and one set of stairs that only led you to the outside.
Nice hotel but overall really disappointing stay.
** Revised - Management called after this post and was really helpful in straightening things out. I still can't give it a full 5 stars because of our experience DURING the stay but I definitely would consider staying there again during a slower season (again, with one elevator and the stairs its not something I would recommend during their busier times)
Ironworks Hotel is a very pleasant experience with Merrill and Houston's Steak Joint connected. It has amazing food and superb drinks but also friendly and attentive staff. I would recommend for a date night or even to just go and sit at the bar to have a few cocktails. Dress nice. This is no rundown place for those that don't.
The hotel has a modern feel with an industrial theme. The attention to detail is amazing. Heavy aged wood and weathered metals are used in the decor. The room was beautiful with a central gas fireplace visible from both the seating area and the bed. The walk in shower is large and luxurious with both an adjustable handheld sprayer and an overhead waterfall shower. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, although we had little interaction with them outside of the restaurant. The restaurant is fantastic focusing on quality steaks. The food was fantastic in both flavor and presentation. We found the bar to be well stocked and the bar staff to be extremely friendly and willing to converse. The location is close to other restaurants, bars, and shopping but we found the best experience on the premises!
