Eh kind of boring. Tour guide was cool but wasn't much to see. $16 per person to walk through the building and see people on their computers and all the camera equipment and that's it. If you think you are going to see the anchors at work or the more famous people at CNN you won't.

The studio Experience was Good. If you want go as a Family you need to look at your pocket since it cost more. They need to look into reducing ticket price. Better Not use rest rooms there. They are dirty. I didn’t expect this at world Best news Channel.

Complete utter waste of time and money

Here is what the tour is like: you go up a really long escalator, you get your gift-shop photo taken, you then sit in a small theater while the tour guide lets you listen into the control room. You walk into a "green room" where you can take a picture of yourself. Then you walk some stairs and peak through various glassed walls into a showroom and then a newsroom. I'm not kidding, you peak through frosted-glass walls. You walk some more stairs, see 1-2 more newsrooms (again, just through the walls while standing in the hallways, and some newsrooms were shutdown so it was dark and about 30 feet in) and then you're at the gift shop. That's it. You don't get to talk to anyone, you don't really get an idea of how newsrooms are run. You feel extra touristy and bothering when you walk through the newsroom.

If you pay $20 more for VIP which I mistakenly did, you can actually walk through the newsroom and back, twice! It looks like any other newsroom you might expect (everyone is on twitter “looking” for trends/news), CNN material is pretty superficial on its own, seeing the "behind the scenes" explains why. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take the CNN tour.

Waiting in line, going through security and getting your gift shop photo taken accounts for half of the "50 minute" tour. You spend at least 10 minutes walking, and the other 10 minutes was in the theater or peaking through walls. I'm not kidding, I wish I were. you'll have s more pleasant time just hanging out in the food court.

Me and my cousins and my grandma went to see CNN. My cousins mom used to work for CNN. We ate food and it was good and we watched the TV when we were eating. We had fun. We went to CNN after the World of Coke. It had clean bathrooms. We walked around the building and we watched some of the TV. After we ate, we went to the studio tour and it was good.

Had a great time on the CNN Studios tour. I know that the workers in news are busy, but I think it would be cool if every once in a while one popped out to give am insider perspective. That could also be a great way to encourage tours. Still think there should be ASL interpreter on screen given the size and scope of CNNs viewership.

While it was neat to get a glimpse of the action going on behind the scenes at CNN, the standard tour was not much to write home about.

I have previously been on the NBC studio tour in NYC. The NBC tour actually takes you into the SNL studio. The CNN tour doesn't go beyond looking through the glass. I have actually seen more action watching live taping from various news centers that broadcast next to the sidewalk.

Bottom line, if you haven't ever seen anything like this it might be worth it. I wanted to do the VIP tour which is regarded better in reviews but couldn't make it work for my schedule.

People said "See the College Football Hall of Fame. See the Aquarium." But being a news junkie and my wife being curious of anything Trump dislikes we went in the CNN tour. It was the day of the Las Vegas mass shooting. I hoped to walk through the news rooms, the set, and get a glimpse of the news anchors. We did that but from far removed hallways with glass dividers sometimes with peer holes. So you are never are in the room where the action is taking place. Despite the big news day our tour was like every other tour. My suggestion, go see everything else and if you still have time and money, go tour CNN.

Waste of a good hour. Recap- go up a really long escalator which they try to sell you an overpriced picture. Go into a room full of screens. Walk down a few flights of stairs. Look into the behind the scenes of the regular workers. Saw nothing live going on for any of the numerous shows and channels.

See how a green screen works then dump you off at the gift shop. OH, and no pictures can be taken whatsoever. The attached pictures are of the inside food court. What a great memory? Save your money and go to the aquarium or civil rights museum nearby. Much more memorable.

Such a cool experience! Right in the heart of Atlanta so you can easily grab a bite to eat beforehand and then hop on over to the Civil Rights Museum or the World of Coke museum. We had a blast - our tour guide was awesome and we felt we definitely got our money's worth! This is also a great way to beat the heat during the summer!

A short, informative and thoroughly enjoyable sneak peek into one of the worlds most recognized News Networks-CNN! We took the general tour given the number of negative reviews for the VIP Tour. Our group was a large one, but our guide did a good job to keep everyone together and keep the interest levels high. Of course the tour has the obligatory photo (poor quality for the price they charge you - but hey! How many times you going back to the Centre??), gratuitous finishing video and the gift shop (to me a completely unnecessary shop as they have little of relevance to visitors!). We didn't go to any studios as such, but did get to ride the longest free standing escalator and left with a behind the scenes peek into a day in the life of CNN.

I haven't taken a tour here, but I've been to the food court several times. It's wonderful. Great selection of restaurants to meet your tastes. Super busy, however.

Enjoyed the tour. Had the opportunity to see an reporter go live. While her makeup was being touched up she even waved at the students. Going UP the world's tallest escalator was wonderful. Climbing back DOWN the eight flights of stairs WAS NOT an experience I would have signed up for. The choice of venues to eat from were various & cost friendly. There were great deals in the gift shop as well.

Durning this tour you will learn how news is gathered and presented. The guided tour begins after entering a well-guarded, video recorded, magnetically protected entrance. Next, you step upon the world's longest freestanding escalator, almost 200 feet up. Steeping off, your picture is taken with props, in front of a green screen. After a short explanation of TV news production, the tour guide leads the group down several floors, past viewing windows looking in on news rooms, on air studios and an editing room. Pictures and news memorabilia line the staircase walls. Guards follow the group throughout the tour. No pictures are allowed after you leave the demo area. You are never allowed into offices or studios. A package of the green screen photos, taken fifty minutes earlier, with you costumed as a "CNN reporter," are sold at the end of the tour for $25.00 to $35.00us. Wheelchair accessible by elevator with prior notice. There are no bathrooms available during the tour. The bathrooms are located on the entrance floor and are wheelchair accessible. Be sure to see the Humvee parked in the CNN lobby. The vehicle is equipped as a remote television studio. It still shows the wear of war.

This is fun! FUN FUN FUN! I enjoyed the tour, watching the different areas of broadcasting the news, and it was very informational. The free standing escalator might have been the highlight of the evening for me lol I would definitely come back again.

I worked here so maybe I'm a bit biased. My CNN tour was free and we got to meet anchors and all that jazz. Definitely take the tour, but i know a lot of people come to eat here before concerts at Philips Arena or before a game at the Georgia Dome. It is also right across the street from Centennial Park. There is a lot of seating, high ceilings with that open space feeling, and it's a great spot to meetup with friends.
