Wonderful stay! We were up in the area for a friends wedding and we tried this place out on a whim. Best decision! The innkeepers made us feel right at home. There wasn't any awkwardness that sometimes comes up at b&b's. We were unfamiliar with the area but they pointed us in the direction of some places we really enjoyed. Breakfast was amazing both days we stayed, we didn't even have to worry about lunch. Would definitely stay again

Great time in a lovely building. Wonderful breakfast. Mike and Liza were beyond hospitable and friendly; they have a great sense of when to socialize and when to leave you be.
Mike is an honest businessman; his booking program incorrectly listed my weekday stay at the (quite reasonable) weekend price, but he made sure to charge me the weekday price which was a bit cheaper.

The Inn of the Tartan Fox is such a lovely overall B&B experience. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and our room was beautiful and well-appointed. There was a lovely large living room with a fire in the fireplace and many comfy chairs. Add a great breakfast and very reasonable rates and it is hard to beat.

We arrived super late, but Mike and Liza had strung yarn to guide us to our room (super cute). Our room was clean and cozy — we stayed in the Manor Room, which has a gas fireplace and soaking tub, and heated floors for the bathroom! It managed to feel both luxurious and homey at the same time, which I'm surprised about.

The weekend breakfast was a 3-course meal that started with fresh home-baked scones. Then we had baked pear, and eggs benedict. Mike would explain each dish as he brought it out. Breakfast is at a big round table so you get to chat with the owners and the other guests. It was lovely. And if you're lucky, their cats will nuzzle you while you eat.

    Highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and very nice. Four windows in this room! (at the top of the main staircase). Mike was very accommodating. and his breakfast was wonderful. His cinnamon "scruffins" were probably the best breakfast pasty I've ever had. Would definitely stay here again.
